Start up for a Vice President spot with Newsom in the 2028 campaign?
Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is heading to Wisconsin for a town hall later this month.
The event is set for 6 p.m. EST on Jan. 16 in La Crosse, Wis., roughly three hours northwest of Milwaukee. A description of the town hall says Buttigieg will discuss the cost of housing, child care, health care and “the need for leadership that actually listens.”
“Looking forward to hitting the road next week,” Buttigieg said on the social platform X.
Buttigieg, who ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, opted against running for Senate in Michigan last year, leaving the door open for a second attempt at the presidency.
A poll conducted by McLaughlin & Associates last month found that 8 percent of respondents backed Buttigieg in a prospective 2028 primary…..
