The Democratic US Senatew Minority Leader from Brooklyn, New York had doubters when the party slid under him to end the Trump Govt. ShutDown.
Take away his spot….
That was Then….
For Now?
He’s still leading Democrats in the Senate….
Rep. Ro Khanna of California, a good weathervane for his fellow progressives, called on Schumer to “be replaced.” “If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?” Khanna asked on social media.
For his part, Schumer has professed indifference to the discontent and he had pretty good reasoning: no one who wants him gone has the power to make it happen, and no one who could do it is publicly calling for him to go. Even privately, there is little sign that Senate Democrats expect to replace Schumer before the midterm elections, according to just about every Capitol insider with a grudge and an insight. It’s pretty easy to hold onto a job when no one else is ready to step into it.
Thus is the life of a Minority Leader: all stumbles and fumbles and bumbles are of his making, all victories the work of others. The job is thankless even under the best conditions, and these are far from those. And it’s why those who are positioning themselves to potentially follow in Schumer’s shoes aren’t pressing for the position at this very moment when he seems so vulnerable. Much like House Republicans struggled in the recent past to nominate a Speaker not named Kevin McCarthy, being frustrated with the top dog is not sufficient for putting him down until there’s a new Alpha….

Schumer on getting “ALL’ of the Epstein files Released….
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer issued a forceful warning that Democrats will not accept any partial release of the Trump-Epstein files, expressing deep distrust of the Trump administration’s commitment to complete transparency.
Speaking to MeidasTouch, Schumer outlined both the progress made and the obstacles ahead. While the House has passed legislation to release the files and the Senate has virtually done the same, significant concerns remain about whether the public will see the complete record….
…
But Schumer’s greatest concern is what happens after the bill is signed. He revealed he recently met with 10 senators specifically to discuss oversight strategy, emphasizing the need to prevent the administration from withholding documents under claims of legal constraints.
Schumer declared, “We’ve got to make sure we get all of the Epstein files. They can’t fuck around with this. They can’t say, ‘Oh, we’ll give you this, but there are legal reasons we can’t give you that.’ And we are going to be pursuing them relentlessly to get everything. Because I don’t trust this administration. I don’t trust Bondi. I don’t trust Cash Patel. I don’t trust the President. And they could screw around with this. It’ll be all of our jobs to be on them and make sure that we get everything.”
Schumer’s statement comes as Rep. Jamie Raskin has accused the Trump DOJ of already killing an active investigation into Epstein’s co-conspirators — an investigation that identified at least 20 men, including billionaires, a Hollywood producer, and a royal prince….
