This as Donald Trump continues his efforts , as President, to punish those who crossed him using his office….
A federal judge temporarily blocked President Trump’s executive order targeting major law firm Jenner & Block Friday.
Judge John D. Bates, an appointee of former President George W. Bush, barred the current administration, for now, from going after the law firm in its March 25 executive order. The law firm previously employed Andrew Weissmann, an ex-federal prosecutor who was part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s team….

Jenner & Block and WilmerHale, another law firm, sued the administration Friday for its order as the president has continued going after Big Law organizations that have ties to his critics.
“The Constitution, top to bottom, protects against such attempts by the government to target citizens and lawyers based on the opinions they voice, the people with whom they associate, and the clients they represent,” Jenner & Block wrote in the lawsuit.
On Thursday, Trump signed the executive order going after WilmerHale, a firm that employed Mueller prior to and after he was serving as special counsel.
Trump has also penned a similar order, going against Covington, Perkins Coie and Paul Weiss, three additional law firms…..

Trump ‘s bending one law Firm….
President Trump on Friday announced a deal with the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom to provide at least $100 million in pro bono legal services “during the Trump administration and beyond.”
The agreement comes as Trump has signed executive orders targeting Big Law firms tied to his critics and perceived political enemies, restricting the work they can do with the federal government….

The president has not signed an order aimed at Skadden, though the administration has signaled that additional law firms could come under fire. The New York Times reported Thursday that Skadden appeared to be the first major firm seeking to cut a deal with Trump before he issued such an order.
Under the deal, Trump said Skadden won’t deny representation to clients from “politically disenfranchised groups, who have not historically received legal representation from major national law firms.”
The firm’s assistance will include a focus on assisting veterans and other public servants, the president said, including “members of the military, law enforcement and on and on.” ….
