His country’s young men don’t want to go to war…..
He’s lost about 20% of his country to the Russians and gained about 1% of Russia….
He finally got Biden to okay arms for his country, but ole Joe lost his job….
Russian President Putin is in just as bad a place….
His country’s economy is in the toilet….
He’s lost over 400,000 solider’sPutin’s and his Army is using donkeys on the front….
Russia is shut out the World stage due to Biden admin actions and sanctions….

Ole Donald has NO love for the Ukraine….
(Zelensky has NOT had a seat at the table yet, or maybe even at all?)
Nor does he have much like for Europe either….
The idiot American President is about MONEY $$$$$

Well Trump IS talking TO Putin and blaming the Ukraine for ‘starting’ the conflict, which of course is NOT TRUE….
Make NO Mistake….
Donald Trump would GIVE Putin Ukraine AND Europe if the price was right….
We’ll see if the Alternate Universe American President is gonna ger ‘rolled’ and what the Ukraine AND Europe are gonna do about this….
Trump getting in Bed WITH Russia….
For more than a decade, the West has faced off against the East again in what was widely called a new cold war. But with President Trump back in office, America is giving the impression that it could be switching sides.
Even as American and Russian negotiators sat down together on Tuesday for the first time since Moscow’s full-fledged invasion of Ukraine nearly three years ago, Mr. Trump has signaled that he is willing to abandon America’s allies to make common cause with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia.
As far as Mr. Trump is concerned, Russia is not responsible for the war that has devastated its neighbor. Instead, he suggests that Ukraine is to blame for Russia’s invasion of it. To listen to Mr. Trump talk with reporters on Tuesday about the conflict was to hear a version of reality that would be unrecognizable on the ground in Ukraine and certainly would never have been heard from any other American president of either party.
In Mr. Trump’s telling, Ukrainian leaders were at fault for the war for not agreeing to surrender territory and therefore, he suggested, they do not deserve a seat at the table for the peace talks that he has just initiated with Mr. Putin. “You should have never started it,” Mr. Trump said, referring to Ukrainian leaders who, in fact, did not start it. “You could have made a deal.”
…
Mr. Trump is in the middle of executing one of the most jaw-dropping pivots in American foreign policy in generations, a 180-degree turn that will force friends and foes to recalibrate in fundamental ways. Ever since the end of World War II, a long parade of American presidents saw first the Soviet Union and then, after a brief and illusory interregnum, its successor Russia as a force to be wary of, at the very least. Mr. Trump gives every appearance of viewing it as a collaborator in future joint ventures.
He makes clear that the United States is done isolating Mr. Putin for his unprovoked aggression against a weaker neighbor and the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of people. Instead, Mr. Trump, who has always had a perplexing fondness for Mr. Putin, wants to readmit Russia to the international club and make it one of America’s top friends.
…
“Throughout the Cold War, the U.S. refused to legitimate Soviet conquest of the Baltic States, and it gave heart to people fighting for their freedom,” she continued. “Now we’re legitimating aggression to create spheres of influence. Every American president of the last 80 years would oppose President Trump’s statement.”
In Mr. Trump’s circle, the pivot is a necessary corrective to years of misguided policy. He and his allies see the cost of defending Europe as too high, given other needs. Coming to some kind of accommodation with Moscow, in this view, would allow the United States to bring home more troops or shift national security resources toward China, which they see as “the biggest threat,” as Secretary of State Marco Rubio put it last month.
The U.S. reversal has certainly been pronounced over the past week….
…
Mr. Trump has long seen Mr. Putin as a compatriot, a strong and “very savvy” player whose effort to bully Ukraine into making territorial concessions was nothing short of “genius.” Mr. Putin, in his eyes, is someone worthy of admiration and respect, unlike the leaders of traditional U.S. allies like Germany, Canada or France, for whom he exhibits scorn….
…
Mr. Trump vowed during the campaign that he could end the Ukraine war in 24 hours, which he has failed to do, and in fact said he would bring peace to Ukraine even before his inauguration, which he also failed to do….
….
Mr. Trump’s evident faith in his ability to seal a deal with Mr. Putin mystifies veteran national security officials who have dealt with Russia over the years.
“We should be talking to them in the same way that we talked to Soviet leaders throughout the Cold War,” said Celeste A. Wallander, who dealt with Russia and Ukraine issues as assistant secretary of defense under President Joseph R. Biden Jr. “Which is you don’t trust them.”
…
Trump is siding with the aggressor, blaming the victim. In the Kremlin they must be jumping for joy.”…

A Ukrainian drone squad knocked out a North Korean self-propelled howitzer in the Luhansk region, Ukraine’s military said on Tuesday. The Khortytsia, or east, group of forces said it was the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion that a “very rare” North Korean M-1978 Koksan howitzer had been hit by a Ukrainian drone. As well as Moscow using North Korean troops in the war, South Korean intelligence and other sources have reported that Kim Jong-un’s regime is supplying the Koksan self-propelled artillery guns.

The French president, Emmanuel Macron, announced on Tuesday that he will host another meeting on Ukraine “with several European and non-European states”, after an emergency meeting on Monday in Paris that brought together a small number of key European countries in response to the US and Russia holding talks in Saudi Arabia without Ukraine and Europe.

Donald Trump had “bought Putin’s propaganda, hook, line, and sinker” when he suggested on Monday that Ukraine had “started” the war with Russia, said Sean Savett, who was national security council spokesperson under Joe Biden’s presidency. “A reminder no one should need: Putin started the war by invading Ukraine unprovoked and his forces have committed war crimes against the Ukrainian people,” Savett said. “Russia is the party responsible for this war continuing.”

It came amid continued criticism of the Trump administration for holding peace talks without Ukraine or Europe, to which Trump responded: “Today I heard, ‘Oh, we weren’t invited.’ Well you’ve been there for three years, you should have ended it … you should have never started it. You could have made a deal.” Russia and the US said they would establish negotiating teams, and bring in European countries “at some point”.

Trump said he would “probably” meet with Putin before the end of the month. Saudi Arabia’s crown prince wanted Ukraine to take part in the talks in Riyadh but the US and Russia refused, the Bloomberg news agency has reported. As those talks took place, China’s foreign minister, Wang Yi, told the UN security council on Tuesday that “China supports all efforts conducive to peace talks”. The Chinese president, Xi Jinping, has set out four principles: respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries; observance of the UN Charter; due regard for legitimate security concerns of all countries; and supporting efforts towards a peaceful settlement.

Russia said its air defences downed 21 Ukrainian drones in the space of an hour late on Tuesday – most over the western Kursk region, and one over Crimea. Russia’s claims could not be verified.

The Danish PM, Mette Frederiksen, said her government would announce plans on Wednesday for a “massive” rearming of Denmark’s military due to the threat posed by Russia. “We must upgrade massively to protect Denmark. And we must rearm massively to avoid war,” Frederiksen told parliament on Tuesday. Danish public broadcaster DR said the government was expected to announce the creation of a 50bn kroner (€6.7bn/US$7bn) fund for additional defence spending in 2025-2026. It would bring Denmark’s defence spending to 3% of GDP. Denmark has been one of Ukraine’s strongest backers….
Feb 18, 2025 – ISW Press

Russian and American officials met in Saudi Arabia for bilateral talks about the war in Ukraine on February 18, but Russia continues to display no indications that it is prepared to make any meaningful concessions on Ukraine as assessed by Western intelligence and US officials in line with ISW’s longstanding assessment. NBC reported on February 18 that four Western intelligence officials and two US congressional officials stated that intelligence from the United States and unspecified close American allies shows that Russian President Vladimir Putin still wants to control all of Ukraine and that his goals “remain maximalist.”
