Make America Great?
Law and Order?
A convicted President opens the jail house for his criminal cohorts ….
This IS a DISGRACE….
Members of Congress who had to hide for their lives get a shit sandwuich served to them…
A ‘Fuck U’ to cops, FBI agents, prosecutors, judges and juries….
Again?
What to expect from a convicted felon?
Trump signed a proclamation issuing a “complete and unconditional pardon” to everyone “convicted of offenses related to events that occurred at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021,” aside from nine members of the Oath Keepers and five members of the Proud Boys, whose sentences he commuted. That means that all those prosecuted by the Justice Department, from the plotters imprisoned for seditious conspiracy and felons convicted of assaulting police officers to those who merely trespassed on the restricted grounds on Jan. 6, 2021, will soon be released from incarceration, if they were still in federal custody.
And Trump ordered his attorney general to make sure that those who are “currently held in prison are released immediately.”
We hope they come out tonight, frankly,” Trump said as he signed the order.
Overall, more than 1,580 defendants have been charged and more than 1,270 convicted in the Capitol riot investigation, on charges ranging from misdemeanor parading to seditious conspiracy. More than 700 of 1,100 people sentenced so far have received no prison time or have completed their sentence, and they would receive limited immediate impact from a Trump pardon. But about 400 others remain incarcerated, serving sentences after admitting they committed the crimes they were charged with or being found guilty by a jury or judge….
…
Nevertheless, two-thirds of Americans opposed pardons for people convicted of crimes in the riot, according to a Washington Post-University of Maryland poll conducted in early December, although strong majorities of Republicans (60 percent) and Trump voters (69 percent) approved of them.
A pardon is not an expungement of a conviction. The charges remain on the books, but the person’s sentence is commuted, and restrictions on voting, gun ownership and other privileges are eliminated. Getting pardoned can help a person restore a security clearance or remove a basis for deportation or for a bank to refuse financing….
…
U.S. Capitol Police Chief J. Thomas Manger, whose officers protected Trump as he was sworn in, told The Washington Post last week that pardoning people who assault police would send a message that the safety of officers does not matter and could risk politicizing the law enforcement of violent protests…..
The CHAOS HAS Begun…..
Standards?
What fucking standards?
The crooks come in from the cold….
Just wait til some of these yahoos start committing crimes. Hopefully they’ll just blow each other up in a meth lab explosion but some will undoubtedly hurt others.
Here in Missouri one girl who stormed the Capotol with her shithead uncle got drunk, drove on the wrong side of the interstate and killed someone.
Comment in moderation
James, I appear to have a comment on J6 criminals stuck in moderation.
Thanks
One crook freeing other’s…..
Trump, MAGA and the Faux News/Truth Social/X fake media are rewriting “history” to suit their own alternate reality, in a way very reminiscent of Stalinist Russia and Nineteen Eighty-Four.
Trotsky was a conscious fascist agent and the Germans committed the massacre in the Katyn Woods.
January 6th was sparked by FBI agents provocateurs, the 2020 election was stolen, the Bidens are criminals (as are Liz Cheney, Mark Milley and Anthony Fauci), Climate Change and Russian interference in 2016’s election are hoaxes and the January 6th rioters were true patriots.
Black is White.
War is Peace
Freedom is Slavery
Ignorance is Strength
I’d add Putin and the Soviet Union…..
Yes….
They join Trump in ‘HIS’ Alternate Reality
So true DSD
Blue Lives Matter
Back the Blue!
Trump sure does like to make speeches in front of a wall of blue und tan uniforms (like the ones worn by five officers in D.C. who died because of January 6th).
Or else at rallies, memorial services and photo-ops showing great sympathy, empathy and concern with widows, widowers, orphans, parents and siblings of fallen officers.
Never hurts to imply that all criminals are immigrants (rather than militiamen and Maga-heads).
Pathetic
Trump don’t give a fuck, either….
President Donald Trump is defending one of his most divisive actions since returning to the White House — pardoning nearly everyone convicted in the Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol.
Trump in a news conference Tuesday was dismissive of the effort to prosecute nearly 1,600 people for their roles in a riot by supporters seeking to keep him in power after he lost the 2020 election to Joe Biden….

Quote of the Day
“Fuck it: Release ’em all.”
— President Trump, quoted by Axios, as his staff grappled with how to pardon those convicted in the January 6 attack on the Capitol.
Led by the nose…..
Republicans Fall in Line Behind Trump’s Pardons
Aaron Blake: “When the idea of pardons for Jan. 6 defendants first circulated, the pushback from Republican senators was pretty swift. And even the few who entertained the idea drew a line at pardoning the violent ones…”
“But now that President Donald Trump has gone there and granted clemency to every Jan. 6 defendant — including those who assaulted police — the response from Republicans has been strikingly muted. And some are even giving Trump a nod of approval, a remarkable episode that shows how Trump gradually lures his party to vouch for the previously unthinkable.”
But?
GOP lawmakers are largely willing to overlook the hundreds of people who entered the Capitol illegally four years ago, which disrupted the certification of former President Biden’s victory by several hours, but pardoning people who assaulted Capitol Police, causing dozens of injuries, was hard to swallow.
“It is wrong to pardon individuals convicted of violent crime, especially when many of the victims of their violence were law enforcement officers,” Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) said in a statement.
Moran was expressing a view shared by many of his Senate GOP colleagues, even though many of them are reluctant to criticize Trump publicly.
Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), who’s up for reelection this election cycle, said people who assaulted police should serve out their sentences, breaking with other Republican senators who tried to avoid talking about the issue…

This COULD come back to bite ‘felon’ Trump on the ass…..
Cassidy voted to convict Trump in his impeachment trial.
Already MAGA state treasurer John Fleming has announced his candidacy for the seat.
Cassidy hasn’t announced for reelection yet
