What does THAT mean?
Simple….
Cutting or moving the number of Government workers MEANS cuts across the country….
NOT just Washungton D.C….
What does THAT mean?
Those cuts would impact and HURT in Congressional districts FOR Democrats and Republicans before the 2026 Midterms….
Get it?
Only 15 percent of the 2.19 million civilian full-time federal employees in the United States work in the Washington metro area, which includes Northern Virginia, suburban Maryland and even a touch of West Virginia.
Government workers live throughout the country, according to data provided by the Office of Personnel Management last year. The data shows the number of federal workers in more than 900 metropolitan and micropolitan areas as of March 2023, not including contractors, the Postal Service or intelligence workers.
Although the Washington area has the highest number of federal workers, they only make up 9 percent of the local working population. Government employees make up larger shares of the workforce in many other areas, often near military bases.
Federal employees are 17 percent of the workforce near the Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Southern Maryland. Likewise, federal civilian workers are 16 percent of the workforce in Warner Robins, Georgia, near the Robins Air Force Base, and 15 percent of the workforce in the Bremerton-Silverdale, Washington, metropolitan area near a naval base.

His administration moved the Bureau of Land Management’s headquarters to Colorado and the Agriculture Department’s Economic Research Service and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture to Kansas City. The relocation of hundreds of jobs caused mass departures of experienced workers and broad interruptions to government work. Ultimately, the cost savings were questionable…..
DOGE will NOT be a US Government agency….
It would be an ‘Advisory’ NON-Government organization…
‘IT’ could NOT CUT anything….
