Former President Trump is scheduled to hold a rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City later this month in the run-up to Election Day, a campaign official confirmed to The Hill.
The New York Post first reported that the event will take place Oct. 27, just more than a week before Election Day.
Trump had previously teased holding an event at the iconic Manhattan venue, and he has spoken bullishly about his chances in the deep-blue state in November.
It’s extremely unlikely Trump will win the state, which hasn’t backed a GOP presidential candidate since 1984 and which Trump lost by more than 20 percentage points each of his last two campaigns, but Republicans have suggested his appearances in New York could boost enthusiasm among his base and help the party keep control of its razor-thin House majority.
New York Republican Reps. Mike Lawler, Anthony D’Esposito, Marc Molinaro and Brandon Williams are all facing close reelection bids, and the outcome of their races could determine which party controls the House….
NBC News: “With less than four weeks until Election Day, Trump is scheduled to hold rallies in staunchly Democratic states he has virtually no chance of winning. It’s an unorthodox strategy campaign advisers say is designed to focus on areas where Democratic policies have failed, but it will also keep him away from the small handful of swing states almost certain to determine the election.”
“Over the next month, Trump has events scheduled in Colorado, California, Illinois and New York. President Joe Biden won those states by an average of 20 points in 2020, with his 13-point Colorado win the closest margin

Also, I am very certain that Trump is convinced he is winning, whether accurate or not. That’s how his mind works. MAGA thinks this will be a Trump landslide and are growing more confident by the day, whether they should be or not.
The point on here is that you are in denial about how close the race is.
While I am skeptical it will be close in the end(to put it mildly), the point about how he’s convinced he is winning is spot on. He doesn’t lose in his way of viewing things.

Trump is either ahead of tied in every one of the seven swing states. The polls there have moved in his direction lately. Now, he may lose every one of those states and he may win every one of those states. The point is that it is close and you either do not understand how polling works or chose to ignore what does not fit the narrative you use to get by in your daily life.

I get the sense that if there were a hypothetical poll that showed Harris ahead of Trump 51-49 percent among African-Americans. james would say he is excited about it because it shows Harris is winning and is going to win.
Absolutely incapable of any sort of sophisticated or realistic thought below a basic surface level.

As I’ve said many times before he makes up a narrative, repeats it over er and over and it becomes his reality.
No realistic person would claim, as he does, that this is not a very close contest that could go either way.
Among Black voters? Devastating if there were ever a universe where that was the case.
Now if it were Hispanic voters, it would be far more plausible though still slightly far fetched.
I may be bullish on Harris’ prospects, but, unlike Allan Lichtman and James(the two sages of our time), I’m not going to ink an official prediction until the end of the month.
As a partisan, I do enjoy reading James’ morning proclamations of a Harris victory. Gives me hope that Einstein Reincarnated believes in the forces of good triumphing.

As almost all the polls now show essentially a dead heat in all the swing states,it will be almost impossible for the cheerleader to cherry pick those polls to make the case that as he has said,” it is not a tossup “ as it surely is.
