Against ALL the noise?
It would seem that Harris campaign IS read things some of us also see….
Jen O’Malley Dillon, the chair of Kamala Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign, explained on Sunday why she believes the Democratic nominee will emerge triumphant over GOP rival, former President Donald Trump.
“We feel very good about where we are; we are very confident we’re going to win this thing,” O’Malley Dillon told MSNBC’s Jen Psaki.
It’s going to be a “close race,” she acknowledged. But Harris, she continued, still has “multiple pathways” to the 270 electoral votes needed to win the White House and is “on track” for victory.
“We are seeing high turnout everywhere. We are definitely seeing that our voters are turning out,” she said, adding there are more Democratic low-propensity voters currently showing up than Republican ones….
…
“So we really like what we’re seeing,” she added. “We’re seeing strong turnout. Our margins are strong, and the folks that we’re focused on, those lower propensity voters that don’t always vote, they are tuning in and showing up at a higher level in support of the vice president.”….
Note….
The vice president needs 44 electoral votes from toss-up states to secure victory, while Trump requires 51. If the Republican won Pennsylvania, Arizona, North Carolina and Georgia, he would win the election….

Counter to the Democrats cautiously confident….
…”The Republicans are projecting an image of a landslide and are hyped on early voting numbers in a way I have never seen before,” Split Ticket elections analyst Lakshya Jain tweeted Sunday.
“You can credibly construct an argument for Trump as a favorite, but we can do that for Harris too,” he added.
The big picture: Like most partisan media, the pro-Trump echo chamber self-selects news, polls and predictions that point to a decisive victory for the former president on Nov. 5.
Conservative media routinely downplay Trump’s vulnerabilities — such as his racist rhetoric and his former chief of staff suggesting he’s a “fascist” — while amplifying Harris’ gaffes and bad polls.
Pro-Trump X accounts with huge followings have triumphantly declared at various points during the campaign — most recently after Trump’s McDonald’s photo op and his appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast — that the election is “over.”
Some MAGA influencers exploit gullible followers by citing anonymous “DC insiders” or “White House officials” who allegedly say Harris’ internal polling has collapsed — racking up thousands of reposts.
Prediction markets, which many people mistakenly treat as polls, show Trump with far higher odds of winning than election models do — buoyed by anonymous “whales” who have placed enormous bets on that outcome.
Between the lines: All of this — paired with the already rampant MAGA belief that Democrats “rig” elections — is setting the stage for a wholesale rejection of a potential Harris victory by Trump supporters…

Most pundits will NOT give a straight prediction up to now …..

They could have talked to you weeks ago when ,in contrast to my statement that it was a tossup, you bluntly declared “ it is not a tossup!”
And yes ,today?it remains just that…a tossup.

I STILL BELIEVE that Kamala Harris WILL be elected President….
I repeat this time and again….
She HAS LED the race since she entered….
She is again trending UP in the final polls
It should not be a ‘blowout’
But she needs a win big enough to destroy any chance Trump and Company will surely challenge
Luckily the judges ain’t standing for any bull shit

The below part is completely true. Trump backers online are acting like Obama backers were just Election Day 2008. They are convinced they are going to win big.

You and those people have a lot in common in refusing to believe this race is an absolute tossup that could go either way.
One way or another, a large group of Americans, is going to be shocked and dismayed by the results, and instead of realizing the reality of the political situation in regards to the weakness of the losing candidate or party, will falsely claim it was stolen from them.
if Harris loses (which I hope she does not), james will be among those people.
