A little conversation with the Republican House Speaker has caused some concern…
“Speaker Mike Johnson was taking in Donald Trump’s grievance-fueled closing rally at Madison Square Garden when the main actor onstage turned to him and drew him into the drama,” the New York Times reports.
Said Trump: “I think with our little secret we’re going to do really well with the House, right? Our little secret is having a big impact. He and I have a little secret — we will tell you what it is when the race is over.”
“This aside, delivered with a small chuckle, set off a frenzy among frightened Democrats who have been living with something akin to post-traumatic stress disorder caused by the last two presidential election cycles, and who are now primed to fear the worst.”
“In this case, the worst is very bad: It is a scenario in which Mr. Johnson, who worked with Mr. Trump to undermine the 2020 election results, would again be in cahoots with the former president to steal the election and stop the certification of the results on Jan. 6, 2025, should Vice President Kamala Harris win.”…..

Update…..
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Monday said the “little secret” that former President Trump teased at his Madison Square Garden rally is a get-out-the-vote effort, not a “diabolical” plan to toss out Electoral College results if Trump loses the presidential election.
“It’s nothing scandalous, but we’re having a ball with this. The media, their heads are exploding. ‘What is the secret?’” Johnson told a crowd of about 90 people on Monday at a rally to support GOP congressional candidate Ryan Mackenzie, after a person in the crowd asked about the comment.
“It’s thing we have about — it’s a get-out-the-vote. It’s one of our tactics on get-out-the-vote,” Johnson said.
“But they are convinced,” he added, dramatically rubbing his hands together as if he was coming up with an evil plan.
