Thousands of Democrats will hone in on their party’s 2024 election agenda at the Democratic National Convention starting Monday in Chicago.
Why it matters: The Democratic presidential ticket is already locked in. Now, the party will be expected to provide a clearer platform in what’s typically a TV-friendly positive display of unity and energy.
- Vice President Kamala Harris and her VP nominee Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, as is tradition, are expected to be the prime time speakers on the final and penultimate nights of the convention, respectively.
- “Democrats will come together to build on our progress, lay out what’s at stake in this election, and unite around our shared values of democracy and freedom,” the DNC website said.
- The convention came together on an unusually truncated timeline, following President Biden’s withdrawal from the race in late July and Harris’ quick surge to the nomination.
When and where is it being held?
- The DNC is being held through Thursday in Chicago.
- The event will be live streamed on the convention’s website and social media platforms. It’s also available via TV device apps and providers.
Inside the room: Primetime programming will be held at the United Center, which also hosted the 1996 DNC.
- Daytime party business will occur at the McCormick Place Convention Center. This will also be the headquarters for Democratic staff and media.
Harris and Walz are already the nominees. What does that mean?….

Michelle Obama to Speak Tuesday Night
“Former First Lady Michelle Obama will address the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday night,” Axios reports.
“Polls consistently rank the former first lady as one of the most popular figures in American politics. She was the most glaring omission from the DNC lineup announced on Sunday, but the source confirms she will be taking the stage in her hometown of Chicago.”
Many Republicans were claiming that Michelle was going to end up the nominee.
Question for them…
What conspiracy do you think was hatched to make Kamala the nominee rather than Michelle?

You need to ask your sons or someone for help. It’s actually quite easy to prevent spam, etc. Again, there should be no reason why any post without a dedicated user name and a valid email address should post.
Again, you have seven people, at most, who are ever going to attempt to post. You know who they are. You know their email addresses (and probably shouldn’t be sharing them with others). You should be able to approve their “membership” where all of their comments automatically post. There should be rules of conduct for those people too, but you seem to not care about that.

Strong disagree. You can choose to ignore the feedback from your consumers, but that gives you no right to complain when your “business” is stagnant or declining. It’s on you.

This shouldn’t be that big a deal.Talk to some computer geek,tell him what’s going on and I’m sure you could get some assistance.

The solution to keeping the Texan troll out of the comments is actually quite simple. james simply appears to be too stubborn or too ignorant as it comes to moderating a blog to implement it.
As we know, there are very, very few people here who are EVER going to comment. We have long since passed the point where we are required to use one user name and a password in order to post. That means that nobody can pretend to be someone else or use multiple handles, etc, like what would happen on P1.
I do not know why that is not enough to keep the Texan off, even if he were to somehow keep switching IP addresses, which can be banned themselves. If somebody “new” wants to post and follows the steps with establishing a user name and a password, they would be in moderation the first time, until james can approve their “membership” so to speak here. If the Texan slips through and successfully convinces james he is someone else before letting the mask fall off and going crazy, then you can ban that user name, etc.
It would seem to be very easy to know right off the bat if it is him or not though. One person is holding others “hostage” and james is too stubborn/ignorant to deal with the root issue.

Apparently he has concluded he will never seek office again ,at least as a Republican.
