Trump’s Spiral Won’t Be Like Biden’s.
In the last week, Trump has lost the confidence of Putin, Jesse Ventura and Joe Rogan. He has fallen behind in polls set up to favor him. He is constantly reminded of how much more popular Kamala Harris is, be it crowd size, online support or donations. People are having fun at Harris/Walz rallies. People are walking out on Trump’s.
The tide has turned, and he knows it. He looks lost.
A few short weeks ago the same could be said of Biden. He had lost the confidence of those nearest him. He appeared weak and broken and Trump was improving with each poll. Biden couldn’t stay on message because he needed to constantly show everyone he was okay.
The magical difference between the two, the final display of opposites we’ve been suffering through in this election, is that Trump cares only about himself. He’s never supported anyone else, other than to get support back. He promises to gut conservation efforts to please the billionaires and they praise him. He promises to gut the Constitution to please the Evangelicals and they praise him. He will promise more.
Biden loves this country, and it shows. He did the right thing and is more popular now than ever. He passed the torch, and it relit the world.
Trump can’t. He will sink and moan and threaten and mumble. He will become increasingly inflammatory because he needs the attention and the attention matters more than party, country or even the election. His illness, untreated, will be his destiny….

JD Vance is making the Sunday show rounds and it’s going as badly as you’d think.
I just read that he got cut off in one because of the outrageous charges he was making about Walz.
Good. I think it’s too late for Trump to force him off the ticket but that they’re thinking of it is a peoof of a horrible choice.

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign said on Saturday that it has been the victim of a foreign hack, after the campaign received questions from news organizations about a lengthy vetting document on vice-presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) sent to the outlets.
“These documents were obtained illegally from foreign sources hostile to the United States, intended to interfere with the 2024 election and sow chaos throughout our Democratic process,” Steven Cheung, a campaign spokesman, said in a statement.
Cheung pointed to a report released Friday by Microsoft in which the company said it had discovered evidence that Iranian hackers had tried to break into the email account of a “high-ranking official” on a U.S. presidential campaign in June…..

Donald Trump claimed on Truth Social that the massive crowd greeting Kamala Harris was “AI’d” and “they didn’t exist.”
Unfortunately for him, the crowd was very real.
Of course it’s nonsense. And every elected Republican should be asked if they believe this nonsense or not.

Republicans are concerned that party leader Donald Trump is having a “public nervous breakdown” after he made a series of offensive outbursts about Vice President Kamala Harris as he slips behind her in the polls.
The former president has made a number of insulting personal attacks against his Democratic rival since she moved to the top of the ticket. Last week, Trump questioned Harris’s racial identity at the National Association of Black Journalists conference. Over the weekend, he accused Harris of having a “low IQ.”
New polls indicate Trump is slipping behind the vice president in the popular vote and races are tightening in battleground states.
“This is what you would call a public nervous breakdown,” Matthew Bartlett, a Republican strategist and former Trump state department appointee, told Politico.
“This is a guy who cut through the Republican primary like a knife through butter. This is a guy who pummeled a semi-conscious president in a debate and literally out of a race. And now this is a guy who cannot come to grips with a competitive presidential race that would require discipline and effective messaging,” Bartlett continued. “And we’re seeing a candidate and a campaign absolutely meltdown.”…

James of course is right about Trump losing to Harris(contrary to the doom-casters). However, if he leaves the scene(big if), polling as far back as 2022 has shown Don Jr and Eric Trump as the top choices of GOP primary voters. Hardly going away, and I would still put it at better than even odds that DJT Sr becomes the first ever four time Presidential nominee in 2028. And a subsequent Reagan/Mondale style landslide win for incumbents Harris and Walz.
