President Biden is running against his party elite, some law makers and a media juiced up for entertainment….

Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio, a longtime ally, joined a chorus of some three dozen Democratic lawmakers urging Biden to suspend his campaign.”

Who DOES look and carry himself as a old man is pissed…..
He gets poll numbers from his tight inner group that essential show him close, but trailing the guy he beat almost 4 years ago…..
He tries NOT to listen to outsiders who point to his slippage in swing state polls….
And?
His staff probably points out to him that minority, progressives, ex-Democratic President’s still have his back as does state leaders in the swing states…..
What to do?
He has also become aware that there IS a growing move to open the August convention to EVERYBODY , thus acting out his Vice President Kamala Harris…..

The interesting contrast in all mod this is that Donald Trump, only 3 years younger than ole Joe has completely taken over and is pimping ‘HIS” party…..
Joe Biden, The President of the United States of America has a party divided that Biden seems to NOT be able control….

A guy who is convicted felon, sexual predator, up for more criminal trials and owe almost a billion dollars in civil fines has shown himself to be that strong man that Joe Biden has failed to emulate…..

At some point Biden needs to do ‘the right thing’, one way or another , and allows his party to come off focusing on him, and moves ahead, going back to running against, and beating the guy he BEAT the last time Donald Trump….

President Biden has announced he is ending his campaign.

I did not see any sort of endorsement in his written statement,
He did say he would be addressing the country later.

I think she will clearly be the nominee to replace him, but there will have to be at least some sort of appearance of an “open process.”
Whether anybody runs against her besides Marianne Williamson is unknown.
The ambitious ones for 2028 have far more interest in becoming her running-mate.
So, that leave out Gavin Newsom and probably Gretchen Whitmer. They probably will not run though. I do not think Buttigeg will. Does JB Pritzker, who is worth billions, think he has to give it a go now?
Yeah it’s hard to see denying Harris.
My personal choices as VP candidate would be outgoing Governor Roy Cooper of NC or Governor Shapiro of Pa.
Will Trump try to grab the headlines back and try to fire JD Wentworth from his ticket? Only to be reminded (again) that JD Vance is his actual running mate.

Republicans are going to quickly be saying two very contradictory things
1. He cannot step aside legally. It’s too late. (not true)
2. He needs to resign at once (not the point.)
Of course, there will now be speculation that he will resign this week and allow Harris to run as an incumbent. Politically, there would be pros and cons to that.
Think the cons outweigh the pros.
I tend to agree.
There will be more of an “historical motivation”: to elect her considering the circumstances.
Biden has now endorsed Harris.
Think that was inevitable.
It will now be even be more interesting on Wednesday to see VP Harris sitting behind Prime Minister Netanyahu when he addressed Congress.
i expect that Biden will not attend the convention next month, but we will see.
Do Democrats know who Harry Sisson is? I had never heard the name before today,but he is trending on Twitter.
Apparently, he is a 21 year old Tik Toker who is on the payroll of the Biden campaign, claimed Biden won the debate, etc. etc. Having seen some clips of his videos, he more than puts me to shame for how lacking I was in defending George W. Bush twenty years ago.
