President Biden is “absolutely” staying in the presidential race, campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Friday, calling him the “best person to take on Donald Trump.” Her assessment comes amid growing calls from Democrats for Biden to step aside. The Republican National Convention in Milwaukee wrapped up Thursday night with a lengthy acceptance speech from Trump in which he spoke about Saturday’s assassination attempt and basked in his party’s nomination. Trump and his new running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), plan to appear together at a rally in Michigan on Saturday. Biden is isolating in Delaware after testing positive for the coronavirus this week….

Democratic Congressman Seth Moulton of Mass. today recounted an experience he had at the DDay observance when President Biden whom he regarded as a mentor and a friend did not recognize him.
If Biden remains in this race,look for these anecdotes to continue to be heard .

I have difficulty understanding the logic of anyone supporting Biden staying in this race.

Eighty plus year old people don’t get “ better,” instead they have “ good days and bad days “ and the latter increasingly outnumber the former.
If he is the nominee,I believe we are heading for a major electoral disaster.
Putting aside the question of whether or not Biden shouldn’t stay in the race (he won’t) it should be noted that Seth is a weasel and was the guy who wanted Nancy Pelosi challenged for leadership.
No one remembers who he is and the fact that he’s talking only helps Biden.

But the REALITY is he’s GOTTA end his run….
It’s deciding the party and driving down the polls now….
I DO understand how he feels betrayed….
But the OVERRIDING GOAL IS to defeat Trump….
And it’s apparent he isn’t gonna a do it…..
That stuff about him staying in the race is just expectations management and trying to stay loyal for the next high paying job changing the diaper, switching the bedpan, and so on. He’s definitely dropping out. Even if it does take a public statement from Jim Clyburn. Maybe the Clinton’s will put in a call to Al Gore or John Kerry for their voices calling for Biden to step aside.
