Now we hear that the Trump people are worried that some Right Wing Nut delegates are going to BLALK at nominating Donald Trump to be their parties nominee!
Why?

The instructions did not come from “Never Trumpers” hoping to stop the party from nominating a felon when delegates gather in Milwaukee next month. They instead came from avowed “America First” believers hatching a challenge from the far right — a plot to release the delegates from their pledge to support Trump, according to people present and briefed on the meeting, slides from the presentation and private messages obtained by The Washington Post.
The delegates said the gambit would require support from several other state delegations, and it wasn’t clear whether those allies had been lined up. One idea, discussed as attendees ate finger foods, was for co-conspirators to signal their allegiance to one another by wearing matching black jackets.
The exact purpose of the maneuver was not clear — and left some delegates puzzled and alarmed. People familiar with the meeting, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations, said perhaps the intent was to block an undesirable running mate. Most of the dozen GOP officials or activists interviewed by The Post even ventured that the aim may have been to substitute former national security adviser Michael Flynn for Trump if the former president is sentenced to prison time. Among some on the far right, suspicions have intensified that the former president has surrounded himself with too many advisers beholden to the “deep state.”
Whatever the goal, the Trump campaign rushed to head off the stunt and replace the delegates. One campaign staffer involved in the cleanup described it to at least two Republicans as an “existential threat” to Trump’s nomination next month…

Even so, suspicions have circulated among Trump’s supporters that covert saboteurs have somehow infiltrated their ranks. At the Georgia GOP convention in May, one would-be delegate withdrew after being accused of having lobbied for Dominion Voting Systems, a frequent target for false claims of fraud in the 2020 election….
Trump and Biden will both be nominated by conventions, but seriously now-
Out of the two of them, which one is likely to have more division, protests, and rebellious acting up by “wing nuts?”

The Republican convention will resemble a scary cult gathering. There will be no dissent. I am not sure what this article is suggesting, but the name of Michael Flynn is not going to be placed into nomination. Flynn is completely loyal to Trump. The delegates will march in lockstep inside the hall. Much of what will be said both by speakers and the delegates will be insane. Outside, there will be some left-wing protests of course, but the party will welcome that as a political foil.
The Democrat’s convention in Chicago is going to be complete chaos. Certainly outside the hall. Democrats are having a pre-recorded, highly produced “roll call of states” where Biden will be the unanimous choice. A big reason is that they were worried what would happen in terms of protests or outbursts during the traditional convention process.
There are also likely to be interruptions and demonstrations inside the hall by anti-Israel extremists at key moments, including during Biden’s speech. It is likely he will be interrupted more than once. This will put mainstream Democrats in an awkward spot. They do not feel like they can really fight back or go to too much effort to distance themselves from those protests, because the people who will support the protests, are voters they assume they need.

There will be zero Drama at the Republican convention. Just Tragedy and perhaps some unintentional Comedy.
I don’t think people really have any idea of what is headed to Chicago during the convention. They just had to shut down Buckingham Fountain this weekend because left-wing protesters turned the water red, to resemble blood.
There will be ugly, disruptive moments inside the United Center during prime time television and the media will be all over it. This is not even taking account the demonstrations that will be taking place into the city. It might make 1968 look like a lovefest. As I have said before though, Chicago’s current Mayor is nothing at all like Richard J. Daley. He is likely to openly side with the anti-Biden protestors.
