Neither Israel or Hamas much care how many people in Gaza die in the conflict….
Media reporting has neglected reporting the fact that Hamas looks as Palestinian deaths as sacrifices that are necessary ….
Israel’s government seems to be feeling the same way….
This IS PROFOUND..…
Both parties see NO use in a cease fire unless they get what THEY WANT….
Israel…..Extinguish Hamas….
Hamas….Keep control over Gaza , and NO Israeli presence there….
Make no mistake…
The Biden admin IS IN FUL AGREEMENT with Israel in NOT having Hamas control Gaza again in the end….
Israeli officials were jubilant about the mission and pinned the collateral damage on their enemy. “Every civilian life lost in this war is a result of how Hamas has operated,” Israel Defense Forces spokesman Peter Lerner told ABC on Sunday. Israeli officials routinely deny charges that they have deliberately targeted civilians and blame Hamas for operating in areas where civilians are put at risk. A growing body of international legal experts and jurists allege Israel has committed war crimes; Israel is locked in trial proceedings at the highest U.N. court on genocide chargesand Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant both may see the International Criminal Court issue warrants for their arrest….
…
Hamas has its own narrative, too. The group, listed as a terrorist organization by the United States, casts itself at the heart of the resistance to Israeli occupation and says it successfully blew up the status quo that surrounded the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the frozen peace process between both sides. In April, even as the group faced major losses to its armed wing and the hideous toll exacted on Gaza’s civilians grew, Khaled Meshal, one of Hamas’s leaders in exile, told an audience in Qatar that his faction was further down “the path of liberating Palestine and defeating the Zionist project.”…
Meshal was speaking in the wake of an Israeli airstrike that killed some family members of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh. The incident apparently elicited a similar reaction from Yehiya Sinwar, the shadowy Hamas leader within Gaza who is considered to be one of the masterminds of the Oct. 7 attack. In an April 11 message to Haniyeh, Sinwar allegedly told his colleague that the loss of his sons and other Palestinians during the war would “infuse life into the veins of this nation, prompting it to rise to its glory and honor.”
The details of Sinwar’s correspondence were reported Tuesday by the Wall Street Journal, which obtained dozens of messages he reportedly relayed to cease-fire negotiators, Hamas officials and others outside of Gaza. (The Washington Post was unable to independently verify the Journal’s reporting.)
“We have the Israelis right where we want them,” Sinwar said in a recent message, according to the Journal, to Hamas officials working to broker an agreement with Qatari and Egyptian officials. The inference here, the Journal noted, was that Sinwar believed further Israeli hostilities and mounting Palestinian casualties played into his organization’s hands. In a separate message, he likened the loss of Palestinian lives in Gaza to the death tolls in other revolutionary conflicts, including Algeria’s war for independence. He said that “these are necessary sacrifices.”….
…
“There has to be a clear political plan, a clear humanitarian plan, in order to ensure Hamas does not in any shape or form resume control of Gaza,” Blinken said.

Hamas issued new demands in the ceasefire negotiations with Israel on June 11. Hamas made the demands in response to the latest Israeli ceasefire proposal. The demands include determining timelines for a permanent ceasefire and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.
Jun 11, 2024 – ISW Press
Hamas sent a formal response to the Israeli ceasefire proposal to international mediators on June 11. Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad expressed “readiness to positively” engage in a deal, emphasizing Hamas’ primary demand for a permanent ceasefire. Hamas Political Bureau Chairman Ismail Haniyeh and Palestinian Islamic Jihad Secretary General Ziad al Nakhalah gave the response to the Qatari prime minister. Qatar and Egypt confirmed receipt of the Hamas response and said that they would review it and coordinate the next steps.
CG says
The fact is that Israel cares far more about innocent Palestinian lives than the leadership of Palestine, especially Hamas, does, and always has.
jamesb says
I doubt Bibi and his war cabinet care One bit for the Palestinan collateral deaths….
CG says
Always stupid to try to engage you in this, but clearly Israel cares. If not, they would have nuked Gaza a long time ago. They have the military capacity to do so much more than they have., but do not, because they are trying to limit collateral damage.
It is the leader of Hamas who was just on the record saying they want civilian deaths in Gaza to increase because it gets people upset at Israel. The more dead children the better it is for Hamas, and yet some people side with them. Hamas hates Jews more than they ever care about their own people and they know there are dumb people in America and around the world who fall for the con.
jamesb says
Ok…..
CG?
Ur getting tired…..
Israel is NOT gonna ‘Nuke’ anybody…Just like the Russian’s ain’t either….
Such a move would COMPLETELY destroy ANY ability for America to support Israel…..
Netanyahu wouldn’t last for 10 minutes after….
They ARE NOT serious about limiting colleratl damage…
Images from the fight confirm THAT…..
And YES….
Hamas DOES hide IN Hospitals looking for the Israeli response…
And As I have noted here …
Hamas has controlled Gaza brutally ….
CG?
There are NO parties without blame in this…
CG says
Those raped, brutalized, tortured and murdered by Hamas were without blame. Those who were kidnapped by Hamas were without blame.
You and many others think Israel should just shrug its shoulders and say oh well, we know how unpopular we Jews are so we just have to accept it and not do anything about it.
jamesb says
An ‘eye for a eye’…a tooth for a Tooth’ time?….. How many CG?
Were is Your Humanity?
Neither of these parties ARE caring about those in the Middle….
Again….
The “BLAME’ is and will be on BOTH sides….
CG says
Every death is the fault and responsibility of Hamas. Israel is taking tremendous efforts, as they should, to limit innocent deaths. That should always be part of the equation. But there is only so much that can be done to prevent that in a war. The United States knows that as well. Israel seems to be holding back in how they conduct the war far more than the United States would. Israel is literally fighting for its survival and literally fighting for the survival of Jewish people around the world.
Hamas could end all this bloodshed in a heartbeat if they wanted to. Israel would very much want that. But Hamas does not and they know there are people around the world who justify their actions and glorify them. Where is the humanity in that?
jamesb says
Check the images CG…..
A LOT of people would differ with U …..
Even Biden, who supports Israel…..
later….
CG says
I take it you believe Truman was wrong to bomb Japan at the end of World War II
jamesb says
To answer ur Truman question……
For the masses in Japan yes it was WRONG
FOR those going forward?
It saved them on both sides
There are no neat answers in some human actions
We should not be happy that Americans are the only country to use nukes CG….
CG says
Israel makes mistakes in the conduct of warfare. Any nation would. Israel has imperfect leaders who are perhaps even bad leaders. Any democracy does.
There was a ceasefire in Gaza before October 7th. Israel had no presence in Gaza for years before October 7th.
Every death of every Gazan or Palestinian, be they a member of Hamas, a supporter of Hamas (and there seems to have been many of them) and every innocent man, woman, or child, is the fault of Hamas.
Hamas does not care if they die. Israel does, which is why it has no choice but to fight Hamas until Hamas agrees to a permanent ceasefire and returns the hostages.
jamesb says
No Hamas doesn’t……
The media doesn’t front that
