The US Sec of State is on the ground in the Middle East ….
President Biden’s peace plan is on life support from the Israeli’s and Hamas….
The rescue of 4 people is small step….With a Large negative left over….
Gantz leaving the government leaves things with HUGE Question Mark?
Oh?
The US is talking about dealing on the sidelines WITH Hamas for the release of JUST American hostages….
And?
President Biden HAS there strong support of Jewish American voters….
Here’s what we know:
Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken was set to meet with Israeli leaders. The United States asked the U.N. Security Council to support a cease-fire proposal that neither Israel nor Hamas has formally embraced.
-
Blinken urges Mideast leaders to press Hamas over a cease-fire.
-
Gazans in the area where hostages were rescued plead for an end to the war.
-
The U.N. Security Council will vote on a U.S.-backed cease-fire resolution.
-
As his political alliance breaks up, a battle looms for Netanyahu at home.
-
Gazans recall ‘unimaginably intense’ Israeli bombing around the hostage raid……
…
Sec. Blinken….
The top U.S. diplomat said Hamas is the only obstacle to securing an agreement despite concerns that both the militant group and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may find ways to scuttle the three-part proposal sponsored by the United States, Egypt and Qatar….
…
Biden admin and Hamas….
Biden administration officials have discussed potentially negotiating a unilateral deal with Hamas to secure the release of five Americans being held hostage in Gaza if current cease-fire talks involving Israel fail, according to two current senior U.S. officials and two former senior U.S. officials.
Such negotiations would not include Israel and would be conducted through Qatari interlocutors, as current talks have been, said the officials, all of whom have been briefed on the discussions….
…
The officials did not know what the United States might give Hamas in exchange for the release of American hostages. But, the officials said, Hamas could have an incentive to cut a unilateral deal with Washington because doing so would likely further strain relations between the U.S. and Israel and put additional domestic political pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu….
…
Biden Jewish voter support….
A majority of American Jews support President Biden’s reelection campaign and say they trust him over former President Trump to combat the “serious” problem of rising antisemitism, according to a survey published Monday.
The American Jewish Committee’s (AJC) 2024 survey of American Jewish Opinion – conducted March 12 to April 6 – shows Jews largely have not soured on the president, despite some rhetoric suggesting Biden’s policies on Israel and Gaza could hurt him among Jewish voters.
In a hypothetical matchup held today, 61 percent say they would support Biden, while 23 percent say they would support Trump. Ten percent say they would support “someone else.”….

CG says
According to data taken regarding the 2020 election, Biden is believed to have gotten about 75 percent of the Jewish vote.
This poll shows he would currently get 61% from a group that voted 64% for him last time. That drop-off might seem somewhat insignificant (although it should not be in a close election) but the sample seems to be on the low side for what his 2020 vote among Jewish-Americans would have been. How many of those who voted for Biden in 2020 are now saying they will not vote and thus are not being included?
jamesb says
He’ll get the 3% plus more CG…..
CG says
3 percent more of what? If the raw vote is down significantly, that would be irrelevant. The number of Jewish Americans is already decreasing every year.
Depending on the survey, Biden got anywhere from 68 percent to 77 percent of the Jewish vote in 2020. This outdated survey is showing him at 61 percent. That is not great news for him.
CG says
Also, I see that the poll was taken between March 12 and April 6. That is kind of old news by now. Since that time, Biden has become far more harsh in his rhetoric surrounding Israel and the far-left protests greatly accelerated in May. I think there is reason to believe that Biden has put himself at risk of losing Jewish-American support since this survey was taken.
In this time frame, to my disapproval, I have definitely heard of Jewish-Americans who said they have never voted for Trump before but because of Biden’s tepid approach to anti-Semitic protests and other issues regarding his position on Israel and weapons, they are considering voting for Trump now.
jamesb says
Ok
CG?
Trying to have it BOTH WAYS?
Biden HAS SUPPORTED Israel CG
NOT Netanyahu , who had played off the American President on the regular…….
Just like with minorities AND young voters…..
Biden will get Good November vote numbers from ALL OF THEM…..
They will have NO CHOICE….
They would be screwing themselves to NOT VOTE for Biden in the end
jamesb says
Donald Trump is NO REAL OPTION for undecided voters
CG says
Traditionally, in elections, the undecideds break for the challenger. There may be other factors at play in this race, but you are sleepwalking through the current reality of 2024.
jamesb says
The undecided I THINK ARE Biden voters from 2020….
The percentage’s seem to point there…..
I’m of the view that they WILL come home to Biden….
Remember?
Democrats HAVE almost consistently beat the polls for the past few years…..

U.N. Security Council Backs U.S. Ceasefire Proposal
“The U.N. Security Council on Monday adopted a U.S.-backed cease-fire plan for the Gaza Strip after Russia opted not to block it, adding extra heft to a growing international push for an end to the fighting,” the New York Times reports,
CG says
A lot of that which went to him last time was an anti-incumbent vote. They did not like the job the President is doing. Now, Biden has the job, and polls show he is more unpopular than Trump was at this point.
Yes, the Biden campaign is going to do all they can to remind people why they disliked Trump as President, but people have short memories, and it may not completely work.
CG says
Between the ignorance, use of non-sequitur, and ALL CAPS, you sound more like Trump.
I am telling you, whether you believe or not, and as someone who does not want ANYBODY to vote for Trump, that there are Jewish-Americans who are upset at Biden, because he and his party are trying to have it “both ways” when having it both ways in a situation like what happened to Israel on 10/7 is impossible.
The more that left-wing extremists march in Washington and deface the monuments with pro-Hamas and pro-Hezbollah rhetoric (with zero arrests this weekend) and chant outside the White House to “kill a thousand Zionists”, the more Donald Trump will benefit.
jamesb says
I’m SURE there ARE….
But?
The Vast majority as the poll states?
HAVE Biden’s back and vote…..
CG says
In America, everybody has one vote. Some people seem to forget that.
Also, there are a whole lot of people in this country, on the far left and the far right, who somehow think there are a lot more Jews than there actually are.
Biden losing the votes of *anybody* who voted for him the last time either to Trump, someone else, or the couch, at least in a swing state (so that rules me out), is a problem for him.
jamesb says
Sure IS…..
But?
As I point out previously?
WTF would a Biden voter go over to TRUMP?
Minorities, Young, Woman and ANY other Biden vote 2020 ain’t gonna get SHIT from Trump, who SAID out LOUD he don’t give a damn about them or anyone else…He JUST wants Their damn vote….
At least they guy IS CONSISTENT….
CG says
There are 2020 Biden voters who will go to Trump in 2024 because the economy was better for them under Trump and they believe there were less problems in the world.
You need to not bury your head in the sand about what is going on.
James Carville was clairvoyant back in 1992.
jamesb says
Sure….
But But I’m thinking NOT much…..
Those who do ARE lost souls…..
CG?
You ARE gonna see a LOT of NEGATIVE stuff on Trump in the next FIVE months….
Trump HIMSELF is gonna Digg himself in a hole…..
Biden IS inching up already….
Not a heck of much….
But the Convicted Felon and possible Federal criminal trial come late summer?
Whew‼️
Lot of court time negitivity and damage TO the man himself…..
CG says
What can be said negative about Trump that has not already been known for years and years now?
Some people like all the negative things about Trump. Some just do not care. They care about their pocketbook and nothing else. It’s how Bill Clinton won.
CG says
Not that it would really move the needle much, but it does not seem like there is going to be any sort of trial for anything else before November.
Under your scenario where Biden pardons his son, I assume he will have to pardon Trump from the federal charges as well, as part of a package deal, and then of course, he would immediately resign as President.
You cannot seriously believe he is going to pardon his son and say to America, “deal with it, Jack.”
jamesb says
He.he…..
Ur reaching CG……
Biden has to do NO SUCH Thing…..
If the Supreme rule must think?
Trump is responsible for private actions….
Smith CAN go ahead and so can the judge….
Stalling would be expected by Trump’s attorney’s….
But a strong judge like Merchan was is gonna get down to the nitty-gritty…..
Trump conviction before the Election say in Oct?
Whew!!!!!
Gonna be a appeal…..
So he could be TWICW convicted on Election Day?
And I sure DO think he’d pardon his crack head son and say I took care of my kid who was a fuck up and is NOW ok just hundreds of thousands of others Americans have dealt this addicted kids….
Hell?… he’d get applause from the aisles….
CG says
Most of your last post is incoherent unfortunately.
We will see what the verdict is probably pretty soon and we will see if there is ever a pardon. I highly, highly doubt it under any circumstance, but if that were to come, it will be around January 20th next year and far more likely if Biden has lost.
