Nope….
Transgender Day of Visibility HAS BEEN in place on March 31st since 2009 as a International event….
The Biden admin has gone with this from 2021……
This year?
Easter came in on the same day……
Republicans maybe upon in arms over the two events being on the same day…..
BUT?
It was NOT President Biden ‘s decsion…
NOPE…..
The attacks follow Trump’s announcement that he is selling $60 Bibles, which attracted criticism from Democrats and some religious leaders. Trump fired off dozens of social media posts Sunday that targeted his political rivals and railed against his legal troubles.
The latest salvo began Friday, after the White House issued a proclamation recognizing Sunday as Transgender Day of Visibility and called on Americans to “join us in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our Nation and to work toward eliminating violence and discrimination based on gender identity.”
The acknowledgment was not new. Since 2009, International Transgender Day of Visibility has been held annually on March 31, and the Biden administration has marked the day every year since Biden was elected. The date of Easter, meanwhile, changes from year to year, falling on the first Sunday after the full moon that follows the spring equinox.
Trump and Republicans, however, immediately cast the coincidence as an attack on Easter. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) accused the White House of having “betrayed the central tenet of Easter — which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”….

Brief rant here because this whole kerfuffle and the faux outrage on the right is just absolutely ridiculous. I am probably not going to want to bother to post this on my blog next weekend, so I might as well vent here.
Yes, this day seems to be March 31 every year while Easter Sunday changes year to year. That alone should be the end of this.
What is wrong with people to be outraged over any of this? I am Jewish and cisgender, neither day means much to me personally but I certainly respect the observations of the many many Americans who are Christian and look upon Easter as a holy day. There is also a much much smaller group of Americans to which Transgender Visibility Day may mean something to them or someone they love or know. Many in the latter category will also be celebrating Easter.
Presidential proclamations get made all the time for all sorts of things and nobody ever really pays attention to them. Again, I did not grow up with Easter and it has never really meant much to me personally and never will, and I do not know anybody very well who is trans either, but why can we not have both things in America on the same day or on any day?
Do not Christians believe that Christ died and was resurrected for the sins of all people? Do they not believe that they are supposed to hate the sin while still loving the sinner.? Is being transgender automatically a sin or simply a Trump era political wedge to pit people against each other? That sure seems to be the case and it is a huge part of what is wrong in America today.
If anybody truly feels that a Presidential proclamation about transgender people, which they can choose to totally ignore if they wish, is somehow interfering with their religious observation of Easter Sunday, there may be something very wrong with that person and their relationship with G-d and they should look to their Priest or their Pastor to help them become more grounded in their faith.

Tommy Tuberville think this makes Democrats a Satanic cult..Jokes on him. Thanks to all the religious hucksers and criminals that called me “Satanic” for listening Ozzy Osbourne and Judas Priest in the 1980s I consider it a badge of honor!
If I have to pick between. Tuberville and the Dark Lord I’ll go with Lucifer every day of the year and twice on Easter!

After they take the Christ out of Christmas, the Godless want to put cross-dressers into (or instead of) Easter!
Our now-retired Roman Catholic Bishop of Providence [Thomas Tobin] took such great offense at calling the annual tree lit in the Rhode Island State House a holiday tree (as first had been done by Lincoln Chafee’s predecessor, a conservative, corporate, Catholic Republican governor) that he counter-programmed (in Trump-like fashion) a separate Christmas-Tree lighting ceremony outside his cathedral at the exact time of the traditional Tree Lighting in the State House.
