And we ALL stand by a watch the guy do his sidewalk act with his lawyers while the media gets its daily dose of entertainment….
Anybody else under indictment for 80 to 91 criminal misdeeds would be IN JAIL…
Even the rich ones wouldn’t be parading around ranting against the judges and prosocutors….
But?
We have a ex-President, who NOT as rich as he wants you to think, who IS a on the hook for tens of millions of dollars in a civil sex case and is about to go on criminal trial for another….
And?
Waiting in the wins are the trial’s for those other charges in Wash. D.C. , Georgia and Florida….
WTF is taking sooooooooooooooo Long?
A guy who has money and the yes….The resolve to work the civil and criminal justice system of America for ALL it’s worth…
For outsiders it must be shameful to see the American Democratcy system of Justice get taken advantage of by one loud mouth old white guy….(Trump’s been doing this for decades in civil case, where he does pay up in the end)
Americans might look down their noses at Russia , China and even Hungary and the Arabs….
But America is right up there with guy pimping the ‘System’ for his own good with a dedicated following following him against ‘the law and rules’…..
And so far?
He’s getting over…..
Until the election, his goal appears to be to manufacture the prosecutorial equivalent of a four-car pileup at the busiest legal intersection in America. And despite Mr. Trump’s laments about a cabal of Deep State liberal prosecutors putting their heads together to conspire against him, the reality is that there is no single cop directing traffic.
The postponement of the Manhattan trial — the first prosecution of a former American president — stems from the recent disclosure of more than 100,000 pages of investigative records that may have some bearing on the case. Mr. Trump’s lawyers sought a 90-day delay of the trial, citing the records, which were recently turned over by federal prosecutors who had previously investigated the same conduct. The Manhattan district attorney, Alvin L. Bragg, proposed a delay of up to 30 days.
Mr. Trump’s lawyers also asked the judge to dismiss the case, or penalize Mr. Bragg’s prosecutors, blaming them for the last-minute production of records — an accusation that the district attorney disputes.
The delay in Manhattan also came on the same day that Mr. Trump’s other state case — in Georgia, where he has been accused of tampering with the results of the 2020 election — had its own tumultuous development: One of the proceeding’s top prosecutors, who had a romantic relationship with the district attorney who filed the indictment, stepped down after a judge decided that one of them had to go.
The day’s events showed that the cases, accusing Mr. Trump of a remarkable array of crimes, will slog on, even as the former president continues to drag his feet….
…
Some of Mr. Trump’s success could be written off as luck. But his willingness to push at the limits of traditional democratic systems, including the courts, has required his legal opponents to anticipate developments that are out of their control. They must, in essence, play a perfect game. Yet so far, as evidenced by the delay in the Manhattan case, they have not.
Mr. Trump’s other criminal cases have also been affected by his strategy of delay, but in the end could move forward as well…..
