David Axelrod: “If I were the Biden campaign, I would pay to have every American see the CPAC convention because the thing that has been thwarting Republicans in the midterms and since, has been this impression of the Republican Party as an extreme party. Yesterday, you had someone stand up at the CPAC convention as a speaker and basically talk about, ‘We almost toppled democracy on January 6. We’re going to do it now with this.’”
“And he held up a cross, basically advocating for theocracy. This is not the image that the Republican Party wants.

That creep with his rotted liver Steve Bannon replied “Amen”.
These people are dangerous and I look forward to their early deaths.

Update on the ‘Big Guy’s’ CPAC speech….
The Biden campaign seized on the opportunity to highlight Trump’s immigration remarks at CPAC, posting a string of clips from that chunk of his speech.
“It will be the largest deportation in the history of our country, and we have no choice. And it’s not a nice thing to say and I hate to say it. Those clowns in the media will say, ‘Oh he’s so mean.’ He’s … No, no. They’re killing our people. They’re killing our country, they’re killing our people, we have no choice,” Trump said, railing against migrants….

Trump says he doesn’t have cognitive problems, then adds that if he gets them, “You’ll be the first to know about it because I will tell you.”..

Trump, who’s repeatedly leaned into his indictments as a political tool, called himself a “proud political dissident” on Saturday.
“I stand before you today not only as your past and hopefully future president, but as a proud political dissident,” he said….

He also came to the defense of the imprisoned Jan. 6 rioters, which has been a cause célèbre among CPAC attendees this week. As Trump spoke, one audience members was heard yelling, “Free them!”…

Trump says he “talked with Putin a lot, I got along with him well,” in his first term, but points to recent remarks Putin made indicating that Putin wanted Biden to win in 2024…
