A guy , Mike Roman, she has indicted is trying to get her fired from his case and having the case dismissed , by throwing her personal life into the media….(The relationship with lawyer Nathan Wade, on her staff, is over)
This is NOT the first try by those charged to quash the case….
The judge in the case, who is also in the spotlight, will make a judgement call….
DA Fanni Willis IS NOT at all happy to be in this situation and fought back against charges against her conduct with an attorney handling the Trump case, which has Roman in it….
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis took the stand on Thursday, slamming allegations that she misused her office by having a brief affair with a special prosecutor in the Trump election interference probe.
Willis did not hold back at the Fulton County misconduct hearing to decide whether she should be disqualified from overseeing the racketeering casebecause of her romantic relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade. The District Attorney’s Office initially attempted to keep Willis off the witness stand, but she asked to testify in the case after she said she spent the day “pacing” in her office.
“I’ve been very anxious to have this conversation with you today. So I ran to the courtroom,” said Willis, who entered the courtroom and said, “here I am.”
“Mr. Wade is a southern gentleman. Me, not so much,” she later added.
The hearing stems from a January motion, where an attorney for former Trump aide and co-defendant Mike Roman argued Willis misused her office and that the couple went on vacations paid for by Wade’s taxpayer-funded paycheck. In subsequent filings, Roman’s lawyer, Ashleigh Merchant, alleged that Willis and Wade started their romantic relationship in 2019 after the two met at a conference.
“I find it offensive that you’ve implied I slept with Mr. Wade at a conference the first day I met with him,” Willis said. “It’s highly offensive.”…
….
…In another tense exchange with Merchant, Willis objected to the defense attorney getting her flight request before accusing her of being “intrusive into people’s personal lives.”
“You think I’m on trial. These people are on trial for trying to steal an election in 2020,” Willis said. “I’m not on trial, no matter how hard you try to put me on trial.”….
Update….
The judge will NOT rule the eligabity of DA handling the case tomorrow
Letting things go on…..
The judge needs time to get his legal head together on this media heavy, historic case….
Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee said he would not issue any rulings Friday after the evidentiary hearing on efforts to disqualify District Attorney Fani Willis from the Georgia election subversion case.
“I’m not ruling on any of this tomorrow,” McAfee said in closing the hearing Thursday. “This is something that’s going to be taken under advisement on all aspects.”
McAfee also raised the possibility of scheduling final arguments from the parties at a later date.
“My goal, my hope is perhaps we can just close the evidence tomorrow, and we can take it from there,” McAfee said…..

Ah?
The4 judge ain’t making the call on Willis and Wade for a while it seems…..
Hmmmmm?
Cover his legal?
The case resumes while this would seem to indicate that Roman probably ain’t getting much joy?
We’ll see…..

I see that in 2020 Willis campaigned specifically on the need for citizens to “have a DA who won’t have sex with his employees.”
That must have been an issue with the person she ran against.

Looks like our friend Corey Gross is obsessed with a black woman’s sex life. In my experience most Republicans have similar feelings, and there’s a name for this type of weird obsession.
So I think it’s important to actually remember some important events from the week (per Political Wire).
The Republicans had a truly terrible week:
Donald Trump grabbed back the spotlight saying he would let Russia “do whatever the hell they want” to NATO members who don’t pay their dues.
Democrats flipped a House seat in a New York special election that narrowed the GOP’s current majority to just two seats.
Speaker Mike Johnson abruptly abandoned a bill to overhaul spy powers due to continuing Republican infighting.
The FBI informant who was the foundation of the House GOP impeachment probe into Biden was charged with lying.
The House GOP set a record for failure to pass their own rules.
House Republicans impeached Alejandro Mayorkas without even pretending he had committed any high crimes and misdemeanors.
Republicans killed a border security deal because Trump told them too.
Trump moved to seize control of the RNC before he’s even the nominee, most likely driven by his need to pay his lawyers.
A fourth House GOP committee chair announced he would rather not be in Congress anymore.
A New York judge ruled that Trump’s “hush money” trial will begin on March 25, right in the middle of the Republican primaries.
Later today, Trump may be ordered to pay hundreds of millions in civil fraud penalties and perhaps to shut down his businesses in New York.
That’s just one week. And things aren’t going to get easier for Republicans over the next month.
When lawmakers return from the President’s Day recess on February 28, there will be just three days to fund a huge swath of the federal government or face a partial shutdown. There’s another full shutdown deadline a week later.
The options for Speaker Johnson are both bad: take the blame for shutting down the government or rely on Democratic votes to fund the government. If he chooses the latter, it’s hard to see how he survives in his job.
The Republican Party Is In Near Total Chaos.

Keith U have any problem I post ur comment absent the CG specific? ….
Ur comment stay….
Keith says
Sorry just saw your comment. Yes, of course I have a problem with you altering my comment.
I don’t have time to go into the insanity of someone who we’ve known for years by the name on his birth certificate suddenly wanting that changed and expecting that everyone would adhere to his will “rule,”
So if you change my post, a post that thanks to political wire is substantive and actually about politics rather than the sexual history of a black woman then I’m gone.
As an aside, our friend Corey is the guy who recently said this site (paraphrasing) should die a natural death. The rest of hung in there James.
jamesb says
I set up the post….
I reserve the right to omit digs in general post’s….
That goes for U and CG and anyone else…
But Ok…..
I will NOT run it……
Keith says
Thanks James!
CG says
James B Finley,
You should alter the post of H. Keith Lesnick to remove last names, and then you can remove this one also, and as long as the rule remains in effect, I will not use anybody’s last name.
He says he will not post here again if you do that. I say I will not post again if you do not. As we both know, you had made several promises via email over the years that you would not allow last names on here as well as expressing your dislike for Keith, providing me with an email address for him, and asking me to “expose” him on my blog but just not talk about him on yours.
So, please make a decision about who produces more value and “looks” for you here.
jamesb says
You two have ur own issues…..
I have work to do……
As always….
Visits to this place ARE at the discretion of the individual….
I hope that visits continue…..
But?
I WILL continue running this place as best I can…..
Keith says
H. Keith Lesnick has no problem with my full name being used at any point on this or any other blog. Much worse has appeared here as we all know.
But now the plot thickens, as Corey’s post above indicates.
Poor James, between the old rock….
Much ado.
My Name Is Jack says
To James,
“Oh what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive.”
jamesb says
The media talking heads seem to think the judge does NOT enough legal reasons to kick Willis off the case…
BTW?
Willis has worked with judge McAfee in past as lawyers….
My Name Is Jack says
Look this is so old.
CG wants to be called CG.Ok I’ll call him that.
The pattern though?
He shows up.Knowing how to mess with him, Keith calls him by his given name which we all know, then he goes ballistic issuing ultimatums then departing.A few months later? The whole process repeats itself.
James insists there are hundreds visiting this site. There aren’t .We all know that and it was explained to him years ago by a former poster called RepubliCAN,who had a great deal of knowledge in this area.Since his explanation didn’t comport with James’s fantasy,he ignored it.
I have no problem with anyone here myself .I mean gee it’s only five or six guys blowing off a little steam as James fantasizes that hundreds are coming here to see what a few unknown guys have to say.
And that’s funny.
jamesb says
Actually?
I’m fine with whole thing….
It comes with the territory…..
Each post here goes out to over 200 via the site and more than 100 on twitter…..
And Yup….
Less than a dozen commenters ….
A nice tight group that should be having a GOOD time….
jamesb says
And there has been growth here since it IS a Presidential Election year….
jamesb says
I beginning to think Willis will NOT get kicked off the Trump case…..
But Nathan Wade might…..
