Writing on Truth Social, Trump repeatedly referred to Haley as “Nimbra,” an apparent intentional misspelling of her birth name. Haley, whose parents moved to the United States in the 1960s, was born Nimarata Nikki Randhawa.
Reminiscent of his spurious claims about former president Barack Obama’s citizenship, Trump also last week spread a false “birther” claim about Haley when he shared a post on Truth Social from the Gateway Pundit, a far-right website that propagates baseless accusations.
The post falsely suggested Haley was ineligible to be president or vice president because her parents were not U.S. citizens when she was born. This is not true. The Constitution states that a natural-born citizen can be president, and Haley automatically became a U.S. citizen when she was born in South Carolina in 1972.
Asa Hutchinson Backs Nikki Haley
Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) endorsed Nikki Haley for president.
Said Hutchinson: “Anyone who believes Donald Trump will unite this country has been asleep over the last 8 years. Trump intentionally tries to divide America and will continue to do so.”
The New Hampshire Union Leader also endorsed Haley.

Haley Turns Up the Heat, But Is It Too Late?
“Nikki Haley on Saturday blasted Donald Trump’s dishonesty and his relationships with ‘dictators,’ questioned his mental acuity and dismissed his mounting stack of endorsements, sharpening her attacks on him as she headed into the final two days of New Hampshire campaigning,” the New York Times reports.
“Delivering her most forceful case yet for the Republican presidential nomination, Ms. Haley, the former governor of South Carolina, embraced her underdog status this weekend as independent, anti-Trump voters urged her on.”
“But with the first-in-the-nation primary on Tuesday, Ms. Haley has enormous ground to make up and very little time to do it. Mr. Trump was filling arenas and event centers in Concord and Manchester, N.H., on Friday and Saturday, speaking to adoring throngs as Republican elected officials fell in line. His event Saturday night in Manchester drew a few thousand fans. Ms. Haley, meanwhile, was visiting retail stores and restaurants. Her largest event, in Nashua, N.H., drew around 500.”

Well if Haley does not stick around until March just so I can vote for her as the least objectionable Republican option for President, I will once again have to vote in a Democrat primary just so I can vote for the least objectionable option for Cook County States’ Attorney.
Republican vote4s in the age of Trump don’t care about newspaper endorsements. Even s right wing tag like the Manchester Union Leader is considered commie propaganda.
NH oddity-
In the 2022 Republican Senate primary, Don Bolduc, a MAGA candidate, defeated Chuck Morse, considered the more electable establishment candidate backed by Sununu.
Currently, Morse is running for Governor and is backing Trump. Bolduc now supports Nikki Haley.
The Union Leader has been staunchly anti-Trump since 2016. They endorsed Biden in the last general election, so nothing really new there.
I read the Editorial and they make a far more compelling case for Haley than she has ever made for herself. They are probably stretching a bit but its remarkable how they are better advocates for her than her own campaign is.
Of course, any hope for her in NH relies on Independent and unaffiliated voters, so perhaps it could have some effect.

political era. There is no question that Nikki Haley wins in a head-to- head contest with Joe Biden. Some polls have her up as much as 12 points in swing states like Michigan. She consistently outperforms Donald Trump by wide margins. Nikki Haley is by far the strongest candidate to
win in November. We’ve been clear from the beginning that we disagree with former president Trump’s plans for the country. As president, he added more to the national debt than any previous president (second only to the current president). He has consistently said he would remove core constitutional protections if elected to a second term. And his current economic plan leads with a
promise to raise taxes by 10% on all Americans!
But the reality is Trump has lost the last three
elections, and he’s on track to lose this one.
Despite what some media outlets report, our polling consistently shows Donald Trump loses to Joe Biden in the states that will decide the election in November. And if he’s convicted in one of his many criminal trials, polling indicates his loss will be even more severe.
