President Joe Biden’s campaign social media team pounced when former President Donald Trump slurred through an incoherent chunk of a rally speech and also appeared to commit a gaffe in which he quoted himself in the third person.
The Biden campaign has become increasingly aggressive in going after Trump on the issue of his cognitive abilities — and Trump has been giving them a lot to work with.
Such was the case when Trump delivered his final speech before the primary in Laconia, New Hampshire, Monday night, which was filled with the chaotic moments that have come to characterize Trump rallies more and more.
They included a daffy chunk in which Trump describes the operation of the Iron Dome the way a fifth-grader would cut down cops and robbers on a playground.
But there were a few other moments that the Biden-Harris HQ social media account jumped all over. During the already-bizarre chunk of Trump’s speech where he waxes apocalyptic over a hypnotic cult musical score, he threw in a stray self-quote:
How foolish, are we? How stupid are our leaders? We can be energy independent and even energy dominant. Yes. Oh, yes. And quickly, says President Trump. We will be there very quickly.
And minutes later, he took a tumble down a chunk about the death penalty, slurring as he told the crowd…

Trump Brags Again About Acing Test for Dementia
“Donald Trump once again brought up his results on a cognitive test while in the White House, suggesting at a Las Vegas rally Saturday that he would beat any other candidates in the field, regardless of age,” The Messenger reports.
Said Trump: “I think everybody running for president and vice president should take a cognitive test. Most of them couldn’t come anywhere close.”
