Judge Chutkan rules today that Trump must notify US by Jan. 15 (a date Trump agreed to) whether he will rely on an “advice of counsel” defense and provide documents if he does intend to do so.

Tanya Chutkan is a regular old Solomon with her orders. Ask each side, find the crease in Trump’s response, and issue an order in that sweet spot.
Yes, all judges aim to do that, but w/Trump she keeps using Trump’s concessions to make sure he can’t complain (much).
