The American President’s early support of Israel has turned into a two pronged situation for Joe Biden….
While strategically (and politically) a American President has no choice BUT TO support Israel and with the first images and stories of the Hamas attacks ?
The ongoing situation IS causing problem’s for Biden…
The Hamas attacks were three weeks ago….
The images are mostly gone….
The hostage narrative is mostly in the back ground….
The images NOW are of pain, suffering and deaths of Palestinians….
The image’s NOW are of bombed out buildings like the ones we see in the Ukraine inflicted by Russia….
The daily death counts are not of Israeli’s….
But of Arabs….
If Hamas has space under a hospital?
Israel IS forced to deal with that issue, if they care….
Israel did NOT attack Hamas in Gaza First….
Hamas instructed it’s people to ‘kill Jews’…
Israel has every right to go after those who attacked and hurt and killed its people….
BUT?
Among Arabs and others each day?
More and more sympathise for Arabs that have become collateral damage to the the Israeli bombing and violence…
President Biden probably calls Israeli Prime Minister everyday with pleadings to spare innocent civilians from harm and to allow humanitarian supplies to make it into Gaza….
It is becoming apparent that despite international and even domestic pressure for a cease fire?
Netanyahu IS moving to overrun North Gaza and institute Israeli military control over the territory similar to what Russia has done to annexed areas of the Ukraine….
President Biden has NO REAL means of stopping this….
Arab-Americans may be angry about this , but to hold the American President responsible for this indeed VERY shot sighted ….
When this whole thing ends?
President Biden WILL be the first in the world to promise and deliver aid to those displaced as he will do in the Ukraine….
Biden HAS pleaded with the Israeli’s to NOT just kill indiscriminately….
Biden HAS worked with other Arab leaders to NOT let the situation turn into a Middle East total war….
And one might notice that OTHER Arab leaders are NOT protesting too hard against Israel going after people who are proxies for Iran, eh?
“At some point, what would make the most sense would be for a effective and revitalized Palestinian Authority to have governance and ultimately security responsibility for Gaza,” @SecBlinken says. “Whether you can get there in one step is a big question that we have to look at.”
Finally ?
I wonder how you might move from Biden to support a party who had and will bring back a Muslim ban for those trying to come to America?
A party that disparaged Muslins ever chance they had….
Who probably would turn on Muslins if govern an chance like some in their party who also want to turn the Ukraine….
You may not agree with President Biden…
But he’s NOT your enemy……
And most of them KNOW that. the polling actually shows…
In the weeks since Israel suffered the deadliest attack in its history, U.S. President Joe Biden has pledged his unfettered support to the country and its people. “President Biden loves Israel, loves the Israeli people, and has our back,” Amir Tibon, an Israeli journalist who survived Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacre, said following a meeting with the president earlier this month.
Not everyone feels the same. Back in the U.S., Palestinian and Arab Americans have expressed outrage over Biden’s response to Israel’s bombardment of Gaza, which has killed more than 8,000 people, more than a quarter of them children. The first national poll of Arab Americans since the war in Gaza began shows how deep that sense of betrayal goes, with only 17% of Arab American voters saying they will vote for Biden in 2024—a staggering drop from 59% in 2020….
…
The damage isn’t limited to Biden: Just 23% of Arab Americans identify with the Democratic Party, marking the first time a majority did not claim to prefer the Democrats since the institute began tracking party identification in 1996. Those identifying as Independents rose to 31%, the highest it’s ever been….
…
The poll results are likely to increase concerns among Democrats about Biden’s standing with Arab Americans heading into 2024, particularly in Michigan, where roughly 277,000 Arab Americans call home, and Biden won in 2020 by 155,000 votes. But the smaller Arab American populations in Pennsylvania and Georgia were also larger than Biden’s margins of victory there. All three states are ones Biden flipped after Trump won them in 2016.
Although the roughly 3 million Arab Americans residing in the U.S. today are hardly a monolith, more than half of them voted for Biden in 2020. In places such as Dearborn, Michigan, which boasts one of the largest Arab American populations in the country, the overwhelming majority did so. Arab American community leaders and activists tell TIME that this wasn’t because they had any illusions about Biden’s pro-Israel stance. Rather, it was because they believed that he would be better than Trump, whose xenophobic and Islamophoblic policies disproportionately affected the Arab American community….
…
Even though 2024 appears likely to present a rematch between Biden and Trump, Arab Americans insist Biden cannot take their support for granted. None of those who spoke with TIME say that their lack of confidence in Biden means that they’ll be inclined to vote for Trump. But some remain conflicted about whether the situation would be any worse under the former president either. “Look, we’re not silly—we know what Trump has done to our communities….
“Some Muslim and Arab American groups are threatening to withhold donations and votes towards President Joe Biden’s 2024 reelection unless he takes immediate steps to secure a Gaza ceasefire,” Reuters reports.
“The National Muslim Democratic Council, which includes Democratic Party leaders from hotly contested states that can decide elections, such as Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania, urged Biden to use his influence with Israel to broker a ceasefire by 5 p.m. ET on Tuesday.”
Wall Street Journal: “The weeks since the Hamas attacks have riven the liberal coalition, pitting erstwhile allies against each other as ugly accusations fly in both directions. From the halls of power in Washington to street protests and social media, progressives find themselves at odds with those they once saw as kindred spirits.”
“Both pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian advocates describe a feeling of disillusionment as relationships fracture and harsh words are exchanged. The result, many predict, could be a breach that splits Democrats for a generation with untold political consequences.”

Malcolm Nance
@MalcolmNance
40% of Arab Americans would Vote now for Trump. The same guy who just said he would expel any Muslim in America that supported HAMAS (aka any Palestinian supporter). Running into the arms of the biggest antiMuslim racist since Nixon guarantees the destruction of their own community is the definition of insanity. it’s reactionary and irrational and will lead to a level of dispair they didn’t think would ever come. I fear for them and us.

Whether you’re a Christian Fundamentalist or an Islamic Fundamentalist, you still gravitate to Trump. After all, Trump is nothing if not the theocrat and the “Death to America” candidate.
Majority of Arabian voters still prefer Democrats, which is good if not great. Biden needs the numbers he once got with them.

And so SE?
Their religious morals do NOT REAL mean much, eh?
