Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Breitbart that he would only open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Biden with a full House vote — shutting down talk of Republicans potentially moving forward without one.
Said McCarthy: “To open an impeachment inquiry is a serious matter, and House Republicans would not take it lightly or use it for political purposes. The American people deserve to be heard on this matter through their elected representatives. That’s why, if we move forward with an impeachment inquiry, it would occur through a vote on the floor of the People’s House and not through a declaration by one person.”
Good move by McCarthy, eh?

Speaker McCarthy on Friday said he’d have a vote to formally open an impeachment inquiry on Biden.
But a number of swing-district Republicans aren’t ready to support it.
“We’re not there yet,” Mike Lawler said.
He can only lose four GOP votes.

Fetterman Dares Republicans to Impeach Biden
Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) says Republicans will pay a price in the next elections if they try to impeach President Biden, the HuffPost reports.
Said Fetterman: “Go ahead. Do it, I dare you. If you can find the votes, go ahead, because you’re going to lose. It’s a loser.”
He added: “It would just be like a big circle jerk on the fringe right. Sometimes you just gotta call their bullshit. If they’re going to threaten, then let’s see it.”
