McCarthy Considers Relying on Democratic Votes
House Republicans will meet this morning to discuss a short term funding resolution that would extending current funding with disaster aid, CNN reports.
It would need the help of Democrats to pass, which is something Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s hard-right has told him not to do.
…
“Top Democrats are calling on centrist House Republicans to team up with them to keep the government open after GOP hardliners tanked their party’s short-term funding bill,” NBC News reports.
“That would require breaking with Speaker Kevin McCarthy, which even the most moderate Republicans are reluctant to do.”

Let’s see the bill…if it cuts spending by more than the president’s deal made in the Spring…I think this plan is DOA as well…

Lots of angry House Republicans after the failed vote after 21 Rs vote with Ds to block stop-gap bill.
Mike Lawler blamed a “party of one” — Matt Gaetz — and told us that “he’s not a conservative Republican, he’s a charlatan.”
