West Virginia US Senator Joe Manchin….
The guy is stuck as a Democrat, Blue Dog, in a state that IS about as SOLID Republican as any these days….
In the past he HAS voted for the most part with Democrats….
But?
In these time’s?
He very well could lose his job….
Talking about him running as a Independant for the Senate and even talk about running for President is just crazy….
But the media LOVES it….

Joe Manchin says on Hoppy Kercheval’s radio show about becoming an independent: “I would think very seriously about that. I’ve been thinking about that for quite some time. I haven’t made any decisions,” adding: I want to make sure that my voice is truly an independent voice”

If Manchin became an independent and caucused with Dems, the chamber would still have a 51-49 D majority. If he decided not to caucus with Dems, he would lose his chairmanship of Senate Energy and Natural Resources, so doubtful he’d go that route.

Manchin has very little chance of being re-elected in West Virginia ,particularly as a Democrat.As an Independent?Also very little chance but maybe in his mind he could somehow parlay that into an upset.I don’t see it myself but it’s not “ crazy “
