        Why indeed would he “tone it down?”

        That doesn’t even make sense.

        Anyone with any political knowledge at all understands that his personal attacks are what attracts the trash who support him.

        Marco Rubio tried briefly to use the same insulting style, but got nowhere.

        It is generally aimed at Smith

        He IS WORRIED about the Feds

        He does do side remarks at DeSantis and Pence

        But the volume IS DOWN….

          The point is that anyone who believes that Trump intends to tone down his attacks on his opponents for the Nomination is a fool.

          I mean you really believe that Trump is going to lighten up and play nice with “Desanctimonious” and not personally attack Christie as a fat slob, etc etc….

          If so you’re dumber than I thought(and that’s saying something!)

          As anyone who knows anything about politics understands,Personal attacks are Trumps mainstay and just because he is momentarily diverted due to being indicted is not indicative of the coming campaign.

          I usually check all the main political sites as well as the New York Times the Post etc and nowhere but here have I read such harebrained nonsense.

          Then again we are all used to these uh “theories “ of yours which you vigorously defend until another such idiocy grips you.

          This too shall pass.

    • This theory is a lot like the abused spouse response when the abuser suddenly becomes distracted and momentarily stops the abuse. Many times the abused takes that as a sign the abusive behavior has stopped.

      There is nothing to celebrate since it will start again whether the abused spouse believes it or not.

      In other words, just saying or thinking something is so doesn’t make it that way.

      So many times here over the years these ridiculous theories have flown off James’ keyboard to become DOA on arrival and so many times he has refused to admit he’s wrong.

        • That’s one of the points, you may “like” to make ignorant comments that illicit responses from informed folks that want to have a serious political discussion but then they’re gob smacked by your ridiculous comment. But, I assure you we really don’t. We would really like you to know what you’re typing about.

          For example, I would spend more time here if there were more participants and fewer of your dumb comments.

          Clearly that won’t happen.

          I think you like the very limited attention you get from dropping one of your stupid bombs and then digging in by essentially obfuscating your original comment and trying to twist things to another topic.

          Donald Trump isn’t going to change his abusive ways and you know it, just like you know January 6th isn’t over even though you dismissed it for no apparent reason. But since you did, your very fragile ego won’t allow you to change your position.

          I commented here because of Jack, Scott, and Zreebs. I liked reading what they had to say. Well, two out of three….

            The site posts go out to about 400 people between the site itself and twitter…..

            Some of those have to be bots

            Some foreign

            But most here in the states

            Some sites generate comments so do not

            I do not do this as a full time revenue generating job, nor do i have help except the small group of us that are regular’s and semi regulars….

            I LOVE the place and have worked to continue the Politics One legacy……
