The old GOP is dead, it’s Trump’s party now and that bothers lots of people. But they created him, have to live with him and all that racism that brings….
My feeling is he WILL PROBABLY rip the ass out of the ‘Grand ole Party’ before he’s done…..
And that’s the conundrum the Republicans find themselves in.
Suppose for the moment that one of the other candidates catches fire and defeats Trump for the nomination.
What happens then? Does anybody really think Trump will play the good Party guy, show up at the convention and raise the winners hand in a sign of unity? If you do I suggest you are naive in the extreme.
In my view ,in such a scenario ,Trump will call the whole process crooked. He will declare the nomination was stolen from him, that the Republican Party is a bunch of thieves etc etc.
Remember about 30% of Republicans declare that Trump is more important to them than the Party.
Trump will either tell his people not to vote, run as a third party candidate or support someone who does.
So the Republicans?
They nominate Trump and probably lose.
They nominate someone else and probably lose.
Talk about a dilemma!
