The guy had his lawyers tell the judge he wasn’t gonna incovenice the people of the ‘Big Apple’ b y making an appearnce with his security envelope …
But?
One would think that things are going so bad for him in the case that he’s decidied to show up after all to plead his case….(Him NOT attending the trail would be used against him when the case is presented to the jury…)
I think it will probably make things worst in the end….
Former US president Donald Trump has said he is cutting his trip to Ireland short so he can return to “confront” his accuser in a New York civil rape case, which he described as a “political attack”.
Mr Trump said he would “probably attend” the hearing as he spoke to reporters while golfing at his resort outside the village of Doonbeg, Co Clare.
His visit to Scotland and Ireland has coincided with the second week of a civil trial in Manhattan over accusations, denied by Mr Trump, that he raped former magazine columnist E Jean Carroll in a department store dressing room in 1996.
Mr Trump said he has been “falsely accused”…..

He added: “It’s a disgrace that this is allowed to happen.
“It’s called false accusations against a rich guy. Or in my case, against a famous, rich and political person that is leading the polls by 40 points.
“And I have to go back for a woman that made a false accusation about me and I have a judge that is extremely hostile.”….

“Donald Trump should have no ‘muzzle’ on him while he defends himself against a criminal indictment in Manhattan, his attorneys plan to argue during a hearing Thursday,” ABC News reports.
“Trump, who pleaded not guilty last month to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, is fighting the imposition of a protective order as sought by the Manhattan district attorney’s office.”

The judge has give Trump until Sunday to notify him if he actually wants to testify….
If he does?
He will be opne to cross examination by Carroll’s legal team….

Donald Trump has not attended the civil trial in which E. Jean Carroll is accusing him of rape, but jurors watched the former president defend himself Thursday.
In a videotaped deposition played in Manhattan federal court, he justified statements he made in the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape, lobbed personal attacks at a lawyer questioning him and described rape as “the worst thing you can do, the worst charge.”
The video showed the former president growing agitated, at times crossing his arms over his chest, under questioning by Roberta Kaplan, a lawyer for Carroll, who says Trump raped her in a dressing room at the luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman in the mid-1990s. Carroll is suing Trump for battery and defamation. He has denied the alleged attack, saying it “never happened.”

Trump has defended himself by saying Carroll, too, isn’t his “type,” but earlier in the deposition, after he was shown a photograph of himself engaging with Carroll at a party, he confused the image of her with that of one of his ex-wives, Marla Maples.
“It’s Marla,” he said, looking at the photo. “That’s Marla, yeah. That’s my wife.”….
