Nestled comfortably inside the extreme-right echo chamber created by Fox News and its fellow media travelers, the Republican Party is unable to detect the electoral storm gathering over the 2024 election.
Most state and national GOP leaders have failed to comprehend that the fear and outrage tactics they have employed in recent years have fallen out of favor with a large slice of the electorate. A majority of voters have rediscovered the value of using the government to address real problems, as opposed to being distracted by the fabricated issues dredged up each year by right-wing candidates and media to drive a frightened and/or angry GOP base to the polls.

Trump has irretrievably altered the Republican Party .Focus groups show that the vast majority of Republicans say they don’t want any part of a Republican Party that looks anything like it did before 2016 according to her.
The idea ,propagated here ,that if the Republicans would just get rid of Trump ,the party would return to the days of Mitt Romney,George W Bush, Bob Dole,etc.is pure fantasy.
The Republican Party is now an anti democracy, authoritarian grouping that will justify anything ,including terrorism ,to remain in power.Realizing that they represent an increasingly narrow slice of the electorate,look for even more extremism and hate emanating from them.
Those who still call themselves anti Trump Republicans and now loathed by the majority of the party as much as Democrats are hated.
It’s hate, hate and more hate.
People who believe that Trump is the problem are engaging in self deception.The problem is the Republican Party itself.
Your observation has a caveat……
Republicans following Trump are probably NOT as hardcore as DeSantis……
Trump has a LOT of people scared of him and a LOT of those do NOT support him….
Again….
The chorus AGAINST Trump gets bigger everyday among lawmakers and some other’s….
I’m waiting to see how far his support goes as he does court appearances and deals with guilty verdicts…….
Will his hardcore supporters go over the cliff with him?
