Again….
US President Biden is NOT gonna sign off on F-16’s for the Ukraine now….
They actually do NOT need them since this conflict is ground based….
The Ukraine WILl get the American made Fighter Jet’s probably as a consolation prize for a settlemnet of the conflict…
Biden is sending another $2 Billion to help the Ukraine’s spending and energy repairs…..
Some Republicans may not be happy, but most have Biden’s back on helping the Ukraine against Putins effort to explain his countries borders AGAIN (Crimea in 2014 First)….
Zelensky seems to be softening his terms for a possible settlement….
My view is he will NOT get back to the pre-2022 borders….
The Ukraine has and NEEDS one last major offense to get as much as they can before a deal is done….
The West (Pentagon & NATO) have told Zelensky he’s NOT gonna get Crimea back….
( Putin IS gonna have come away with some territory )
It’s a hard military lift and ANY deal needs Putin to be able keep it or share it as ‘free zone’…
The Republican chorus IS correct in saying the conflict needs to be over NOT much past the Summer….
It’s draining the West of arms and the US IS worried about China….
And Biden does NOT want to be explaining why he contiunes to be sending Billions of taxpayer money to the Ukraine during next years Presidential campiagn….
Russia seems to be losing much of its European energy customers who have cut back consuption and tured elsewhere for supplies….
Zelensky IS advertising that he is open to talking to the Chinese about a possible ceasefire and settlement of the conflict…China wants the conflict to be over also….Stay Tuned….

- Biden said that Ukraine’s defense needs could change in the future, but that the U.S. military determined there currently is no rationale for sending fighter jets to Kyiv. “I am ruling it out for now,” he told ABC News. Biden’s comments on fighter jets have met skepticism at the Pentagon, where some officials noted that the administration had refused then relented on Ukrainian requests, including for M1 Abrams tanks.
- An American soldier fighting in Ukraine was killed in action on Feb. 16, his family told The Washington Post. Andrew Peters, 28, arrived in Ukraine in November to join the International Legion of Territorial Defence, said his father, John Peters. Andrew Peters had served as a U.S. Army infantryman in Afghanistan from 2014 to 2016, his father told The Washington Post on Saturday. “He wanted to go over there and make a difference,” John Peters told The Post of his son’s Ukraine service.
- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described Feb. 24, 2022, as “the hardest day of our modern history.” In a news conference marking one year since the Russian invasion, Zelensky minimized the possibility of near-term peace talks and said Russian President Vladimir Putin “is no longer the same person” he once was.
- Poland delivered four Leopard 2 battle tanks to Ukraine on the anniversary, officials said, with Ukrainians troops having begun training in Germany. Western governments say the tanks will help Ukraine as it braces for a spring counteroffensive against Russian forces. The timeline for delivering more tanks is unclear.
- Airstrikes and shelling hit areas near the front lines in Ukraine’s east and south in the past day, with the embattled city of Bakhmut under ongoing Russian attack, the Ukrainian armed forces said Saturday.
- The Pentagon announced an additional $2 billion in security assistance for Kyiv, including drones and ammunition stocks. The United States also announced more than $10 billion in financial assistance to Ukraine to support the government’s budget and the country’s energy security, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Friday.
- Russia has stopped sending oil to NATO member Poland, according to Orlen CEO Daniel Obajtek. Russian-provided oil make up about 10 percent of the raw materials for Poland’s refineries, Obajtek tweeted Saturday. Poland and other European nations have largely moved away from Russian energy imports — many of which are not part of punitive sanctions — since the war began….
