Biden was truly in his element right after his speech — after most TV networks stopped covering him. Cracking jokes with Supreme Court justices, telling stories, taking selfies, talking to people’s kids, listening to lawmakers’ requests for help + sharing in grief with others….

      • Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman, who had a stroke during his campaign last year, has been hospitalized after feeling lightheaded while attending a Democratic retreat, his office said.

        Initial tests at George Washington University Hospital did not show evidence of a new stroke, Fetterman’s communications director, Joe Calvello, said in a statement Wednesday night. The senator remained at the hospital for observation as doctors conducted more tests.

        “He is in good spirits and talking with his staff and family. We will provide more information when we have it,” Calvello said….

    Republican US Senator Jim Risch of Idaho,says he doesn’t give interviews on Jan.6 Republican hoodlums Terrorist attack on the Capitol even though one one of his fellow party members trashed his office.Wonder what the POS would have said if the attacker had been from Black Lives Matter?

    Republican domestic terrorist supporter Charlie Kirk ,whose Right wing organization,Turning Points, brought many of the Republican Terrorists who invaded the Capitol to Washington on Jan 6 ,is agitated that his wild claims that the election was stolen are having the effect that some Republican kooks now say they won’t vote anymore.

    All of the above have them “conservative values.”

  14. Democrats of recent times seem to perform better in pre election polls in Florida than they do in the actual election.

    So these results aren’t totally a surprise

    However,in my view, Trump would likely defeat Biden with a similar result as in 2020 if the election were held today.

      • Florida is the only one of the four largest states (Calif, Texas, Fla, NY) that can still be in play in Presidential elections, although Florida Democrats have had little recent luck in electing Governors or U.S. Senators.

        She’s proven as much or more of a belwether in recent Presidential elections than the previously must-win Ohio. The margin of victory in the Florida’s past 8 elections (1992-2020) has been between 0.01% and 5.7%. And, in the 24 elections since 1925, Florida has voted for only 3 national losers (Nixon’60, GHWBush’92 and Trump 2020.)

        By contrast, Texas has long been out of reach for Democrats; the last Democratic candidate that Texas supported was Jimmy Carter in 1976.

        And California swung sharply from 9/10 GOP (1952-1984) to 7/8 Dem. (1988-2020). Thank Pete Wilson and his anti-immigrant Proposition 187 in a state where Anglo whites no longer form the majority of the Golden State’s residents.
