That WOULD be America…..
The Race card is already being played in the Republican 2024 Presidential primary contest, eh?
See below for another early dig at Haley….
This one from CNN anchor Don lemon who is having on going issues with women…..
Ann Coulter says American-born Nikki Haley should “go back to [her] own country” because the former South Carolina governor once pushed to remove the Confederate flag from the state capitol.
In a xenophobic rant, Coulter mocked the newly minted Republican presidential candidate’s Indian heritage and said she had no business “taking down parts of [American] history” like the Stars and Bars.
“I need to immigrate to India so I can demand they start taking down parts of their history,” Coulter said on right-wing radio host Mark Simone’s show. “What’s with the worshipping of the cows? They’re all starving over there and they’re worshipping cows?”
Deriding Haley as “babycakes,” Coulter demanded that the proud daughter of Indian immigrants go back to her parents’ south Asian homeland….
…
Haley proudly points to her parents’ journey from India to small town Georgia as the epitome of the American Dream.
Haley, 51, launched her 2024 Republican presidential campaign on Wednesday with a rousing speech heralding a new generation of GOP leadership.
Don Lemon…..
CNN anchor Don Lemon apologized to his colleagues on Friday over sexist remarks he made on the network’s morning show about when women are “in their prime,” telling staffers during the company’s daily editorial meeting that he was sorry for offending them.
“I’m sorry that I said it,” Lemon said. “And I certainly see why people found it completely misguided.”
“When I make a mistake, I own it,” Lemon added. “And I own this one as well.”
Lemon made the comments about women during a Thursday discussion on “CNN This Morning” over former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley’s presidential candidacy, drawing swift and fierce backlash.
When declaring her run for the presidency, Haley called for mental competency tests for politicians over the age of 75. Lemon argued that Haley herself “isn’t in her prime.”
Lemon attempted to support his argument by saying that a woman is only “considered to be in their prime in 20s and 30s and maybe 40s.”
The comments were met with pushback from co-anchors Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins, but Lemon kept advancing his argument, even doubling down on it in a segment in the following hour….
More issues for the CNN morning host….
A furious Poppy Harlow walked off the “CNN This Morning” set following a tense exchange with Lemon after he said the GOP presidential candidate was “not in her prime,” according to sources with knowledge of the situation.
One of the sources said Harlow took a “well-timed” bathroom break and was followed into the restroom by co-host Kaitlan Collins…
The tense relationship between Lemon, Collins and Harlow has “been smoldering for months,” the source added.
New York Post.
But Lemon is not only a menace to his co-hosts. He’s also ruining the foundation of the network by shrinking its morning audience.
CNN demoted him in the fall from primetime to his current position as co-anchor in the morning. He has since tanked the time slot to the lowest-rated cable news show in a decade….
