Hmmmm?
Maybe them Republican guys better watch out……
While the media showcase’s Trump vs DeSantis?
The split in votes just COULD drop a South Carolina Republican women that is NOT White elevated into the rarified air top Presidential candidates ….
New New Hampshire GOP 2024 primary poll has Haley in THIRD place right behind the two top guys……Second poll in her state has her in 4th …
Could REPUBLICANS actually nominate a Woman?
In recent days, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley called Trump and suggested she would be announcing her decision to enter the presidential race soon, a conversation that a person familiar with it described as cordial.
“She called me and said she’d like to consider it. And I said you should do it,” Trump told reporters, noting that Haley once said she would not get in the race if Trump runs again.
But Haley may be only a modest challenge for Trump going forward. He also is on a collision course with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is widely expected to jump into the race….

Well anything is “possible.”
However ,right now ,and based on the state of the Republican electorate presently. There is little reason to believe that Haley will even be a particularly serious candidate.
The Republican electorate presently is mad and angry?Thats not Nikkis forte. While I’m no fan of hers?Shes not a hater and that’s what Republicans want.
Look at the two frontrunners.Trump, whose “rallies” are veritable hatefests where obvious lies and idiotic conspiracy theories are preponderant .
Then there’s DeSantis , a humorless prick who is always trying to stir up racial resentment and was up to his neck in Trumps attempt to steal the election . Jutting his jaw out he reminds one of George Wallace or even Benito Mussolini.Anger, hate ,those are DeSantis stock in trade.
Nikki harkens back to a Mitt Romney (who endorsed her in her gubernatorial run in 2010 )or George W Bush. That isn’t in vogue among present day Republicans.
For Nikki to have any chance ,there would need to be a radical change among Republicans which ,at least presently, doesn’t look likely.
Democratic Socialist Dave says
Should the GOP, unlikely though it be, nominate a person of color (such as Nikki Haley, Tim Scott or Condi Rice), the Democrats — if they change horses midstream with Pres. Biden’s retirement — might feel pressured to nominate their own candidate of color, such as Corey Booker.

Booker came in good in one poll…
BUT….
He’s NOT on the same level as the top Democrats….

My pitch on your old Governor is a crowed primary and she just squeezes thru…..
I REALLY do NOT think Trump is gonna be in shape for the nomination with ALL the legal stuff dragging him down and GOPer’s saying OUT LOUD they do want him more nad MORE….
DeSantis is gonna be connected to Trump….
And there has been NOT serious op-research on him and his NOT come under serious attack….
Sure DeSantis is actually right up there with Trump….
But it IS gonna be a rough one for these three and Republicans in general….
