Republican’s REALLY had a Bad 2022 midterm experience ….
Will they learn from what voters did?
Cook Political Report: “For the first time since tracking this metric, all the most competitive races broke in the same direction. We typically see a majority of the seats going whichever party’s way has the momentum that cycle, but this underscores just how much Democrats ran the table.”

Happy Christmas Eve!
Democrats far exceeding expectations gave me hope in 2022.
And yes, I am a partisan Democrat but more importantly the failure of the election deniers to achieve a red wave may have saved our Republic. Or at least saved it to fight another day
Imagine if the opposite had occurred.

And in an early Christmas present…
A State Judge in Arizona dismissed Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lakes effort to steal the election.
Lake never provided any evidence of intentional misconduct by election officials n Maricopa County, nor even evidence that any voters had been disenfranchised.
These continuing efforts by Republicans to steal elections that they have clearly lost shows nothing more than the total moral bankruptcy of “conservatism.”
The term has been totally coopted by a motley crew of liars, cheats and thieves.

Happy Holidays to Everyone !!!
I haven’t read the details of this analysis (no link), but the Democrats seemed to be good at losing those close races where one or two percent could have flipped them our way — as in 2016 (the Presidency and seveeral close Senate races like Pa, Missouri and Wisconsin, that could have flipped the chamber back to D) .

Democrats may have done themselves a favor by LOSING THE HOUSE?
GOPer’s are seemingly STRONGLY imploding right now

Wishful thinking…
The Democrats in recent years have been far more cohesive than the GOP, since the really fractious issues that split the Democrats asunder in earlier decades (such as segregation, voting rights and the Vietnam War) don’t prevail now. The distance between the Squad and the blue dogs isn’t that great, and the Democrats don’t have ambitious party-splitters, such as Jim Jordan and the Freedom Caucus, who can call upon the passions of millions of know-nothing voters and bottomless pots of dark money.
Few Democrats on the right and left extreme edges were entirely happy with Nancy Pelosi, but her power derived from her ability to satisfy, reconcile or paper over their most important concerns.
