The Red wave the polls and media sang about for the last week or so did NOT happen…
Democrats DID show up to vote…..
There are several losers on the Grand ole Party side this morning…
The biggest in the Republican Caucus in Congress…
They will have NO overwhelming majority coming next year in the House….

Their internal politics are gonna be a SUPER headache….
They may have a paper then Senate majority…They may stay as the Minority ….
The biggest PERSON to take a hit is none other than Donald J. Trump…
Lotta of ‘his’ endorsements fell flat….
For Democrats ?
It was a GOOD and unexpected night….

The story was NOT about a Republican roll over them….
They held….
They flipped places that Trump people thought they’d had….
They beat the historical midterm drop that usually comes and Biden had with Obama…TWICE…
America voters was NOT mad at Democrats even with a shitty Economy , Immigration and Donald Trump and a media that loves whipping things up….
(Joe Biden HAS toi be breathing easier and HAS better odds of running and being the Democratic nominee come 2024…If he can get his negitive poll numbers(YES poll numbers) LOWER than 50%)
For the American voter?

My feeling is that the Democrats will get wins in Arizona and Nevada AND Georgia giving then a +2 US Senate Majority come next year and bringing me ON POINT in my guess on the final total…
I missed quite a few races in different directions. The main thrust held up, though, that D’s were going to do far better than the peanut galleries were telling everyone.
D’s should be good to win the remaining Senate seats, while also very narrowly losing the House and Nevada Governor.

I’m guessing Schumer has +2 which would help him with Manchin and Simena….
House margin could be surprising as little as single digits which means they will HAVE TO work with Democrats to get anything because of Grenne & Co.
All in all DAMN good night for Democrats in spite of the media, pundits and polls
The biggest takeaway from E-Night was that FLORIDA is no longer a Swing State. It is a RED STATE.

Rough Midterms?
Thanks to COVID Florida is no longer representative of the country as a whole.
Maybe in future election cycles Democrats will be able to get their act together and make some gains there. But in the short term I suggest continuing to invest in states that have been trending blue like AZ and GA as well as those that are on the edge of flipping like North Carolina And of course focusing on the blue wall in the rust belt–Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
The message that pushed Florida further red in 2022 didn’t have appeal in those other states.

I think DeSantis in going after the rightwingnuts is grabbing people but shutting himself out of any prospect of winning a general election for President….
One hopes the Republicans will continue to sabotage their own chances to screw things up more going forward…..
