From CNN….
Two South Carolina Republicans will attempt to hold on to their seats in primaries Tuesday after breaking with former President Donald Trump over his lies about the 2020 election and his role in the January 6, 2021, insurrection at the US Capitol.
Nevada, meanwhile, showcases Trump’s effort to take over the election machinery in a series of battleground states, as his endorsed candidates attempt to win a slate of statewide primaries.
In Texas, voters in the Rio Grande Valley will fill a seat in Congress in a special election. In Maine, they will tee up two midterm races that are expected to be hard-fought battles. And in North Dakota, Republican Sen. John Hoeven is poised to be nominated for another term….

The far left are destroying the American dream. When I was little my family legally immigrated to America. They taught me conservative values: faith, family, & hard work. I will not let the far left & socialist policies by the Biden Administration destroy this great country #TX34

Nancy Mace (R-SC 4) ahead of her GOP opponents, but Andy Rice (R=SC 7) well behind her Trump-backed challenger.’

Mace won 53%-45%I would note that while Trump endorsed Arrington ,her opponent. Many Major Trump supporters stuck with Mace who ,throughout the campaign ,emphasized her support for Trump regardless of his endorsement.
Rice , who voted to impeach Trump ,was ousted in the seventh district by Russell Fry,a state legislator and rabid Trumpite.

Trump went 1 for 2 in South Carolina?

I explained above that ,while Trump endorsed Arrington and made disparaging remarks about Mace, many of his state supporters ,including his former Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney and Trumps SC campaign coordinator supported Mace.
Mace even ran an ad in which she touted her support for the Trump agenda.
Arrington was a horrible candidate and I’m surprised she received 45% of the vote.
Mace is the example the PW piece was referring to in that one can “cross” Trump and still win sometimes ,but to be openly anti Trump, likeTom Rice in voting to impeach him ,results in defeat.

“Trump Remains Firmly In Control Of the GOP”
The article notes that the key takeaway from last nights primaries is that Republicans can survive crossing Trump but rarely can they survive being anti Trump.( see SC.)
James take note.
Unlike you these people really understand what has happened to the Republican Party.
