Ukraine Update….66 days into the Russian move on the Ukraine…Russia slowing its roll?

Ukrainian military is beginning to store Western arms as they hold off Russian attacks….

And the Russian President seems to be’ slowing his roll’ on the Ukraine…..

Maybe he realizes he’s actually hurting his own country’s standing and economy ?

And?

Is down sizing his military and political goal ‘s for the Ukraine?

The Russian military would appear to be tired of the fight….

 

The first group of evacuees from Mariupol’s embattled Azovstal steel plant reached this Ukrainian-controlled city Tuesday afternoon local time, after weeks of failed efforts. More evacuations from the stricken port city, which is under near-total Russian control, are underway, Mariupol’s mayor said Tuesday. Officials said 101 civilians remain trapped at the plant. A small group previously was evacuated to Russian-held territory.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, addressing Ukraine’s legislature via video link, struck an optimistic tone on the war effort, saying: “Ukraine will win, Ukraine will be free.” French President Emmanuel Macron is expected to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.

Moscow is preparing to annex vast new swaths of Ukrainian territory — the eastern regions of Donetsk and Luhansk, along with the southern city of Kherson — in the coming days, U.S. intelligence indicates. Yet Russian troops are making “anemic” advances in their attempt to seize the eastern Donbas region, according to the Pentagon. A dozen Russian attacks were foiled in Donbas over the past 24 hours, according to Serhiy Haidai, head of the Luhansk regional administration. The Washington Post could not independently verify the claim.

Here’s what else to know

  • Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin left open the possibility that parts of the Ukrainian military might be hoarding U.S.-made weapons, adding that it is difficult for the Pentagon to assess because the U.S. military has no forces in Ukraine.
  • President Biden on Tuesday is visiting a Javelin missile factory in Alabama that produces weapons used by Ukraine to fight Russia.
  • Pope Francis, in an interview with Italian media, said Hungarian leader Viktor Orban told him that “everything will be over on May 9.” The Washington Post reported last month, however, that Russian President Vladimir Putin may use Russia’s Victory Day to accelerate the war effort.
  • Ukrainian forces have pushed back Russian troops and maintained “dominance” of Kharkiv, a battered city about 25 miles from the Russian border, the Pentagon said….

    The media does NOT POINT out that the Ukraine is the second largest country in Europe besides Russia……

    If u check the map?

    U might get an idea why the Russian’s are tired of dealing with ALL of the Ukraine….

    Their actions in the last two months have come down to only about 1/4 to 1/5 of the actual whole country….

    There is NO WAY the Russian’s could handle the whole of the Ukraine…..
