Here’s the scoop on some name Democrats chances…
NY-10: Emerson polled the crowded Democratic primary for this open seat and found ex-NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio (D), who enjoys nearly universal name recognition in NYC, managed to register only 6% support in the poll. While 77% of poll respondents remain undecided, carpetbagging Rep. Mondaire Jones (D) was in first at 7%, followed by de Blasio at 6%, and NY assembly member Yuh-Line Niou (D) at 5%.
NY-12: Meanwhile in neighboring NY-12, Emerson found Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D) leading Rep. Jerry Nadler (D) 31%-21% with several lesser-known challengers further behind and 36% undecided…
