One Federal judge has struck down the CDC call for mask wearing on public transportation ….
The ruling has a good political feed back in most places…
The story is the CDC ‘asked’ the Justice Dept. to go after the judges ruling….
Anybody that believes that need to have their heads examined….
This HAS TO have come from the Biden admin, with the President’s seal of approval….
Biden could be edging for another turn down….
The High Court has been consistent in ruling that Governor’s have the power to decide health issues, NOT the Feds….
The case is in the South…
And Federal judges down there do NOT go out of their ways to support Democratic President’s actions (Politics????)…..
The judge’s decision is along with Republicans efforts to hold up legislation until Biden relents on the mandate also….
While people will still fly with their masks on…
As across the country …
A LOT of people vacinated and not are happy to not be compelled to wear one…..
At this timne virus cases ARE increasing….
But hospital stays and deaths are not….
Government officials face an uncertain reception at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, which reviews cases from Florida, Georgia and Alabama. A majority of the judgeswere appointed by President Donald Trump, as was [ U.S. District Judge Kathryn Kimball ] Mizelle, a district court judge. The Biden administration could ask the appeals court to immediately put Mizelle’s ruling on hold and reinstate the mandate, which, if successful, would create a new wave of confusion for travelers using public transportation.
Health experts had lamented Mizelle’s court ruling, saying it confused Americans about the need for masking and could increase the risk of virus spread. That was vividly illustrated Monday night as some passengers and flight crews removed their masks, often jubilantly, as airlines swiftly dropped nearly two-year-old masking requirements after the judge’s decision.
