People gotta stop talking about gun control across America…
Americans ‘LOVE’ their guns in country with a gun culture….
That’s NOT applicable for everywhere…
Cities and the ‘country’ are two different places….
Gun Control IS a something different for different places…
And it IS a political problem for national efforts to try stop mass shooting incidents that have unfortunatily become common place….
The issue is complicated…
But ‘control’ seems to be losing…..
Alabama becomes the 22nd state to not require a permit to conceal and carry a firearm, according to the Pew Research Organization. Last year, six states — Arkansas, Iowa, Montana, Tennessee, Texas and Utah — passed bills bypassing the permit process for some firearms.
Also this week, Georgia’s state House and Senate passed a similar bill not requiring a permit to conceal and carry a handgun, a measure expected to eventually be signed into law by Gov. Brian Kemp (R).
In Alabama, the new law eliminates “the requirement for a person to obtain a concealed carry permit to lawfully carry a pistol,” according to a text of the passed bill.
Some police spoke out against the bill, including the Alabama Sheriff’s Association.
Edward Delmore, a police chief in the community of Gulf Shore, said “this bill doesn’t comply with common sense,” during a protest against the measure earlier this year, according to the Alabama News Network…

However, after a 2019 mass shooting in Dayton that left nine dead, DeWine responded to calls by Dayton residents to “do something” by introducing a package of moderate gun-reform proposals, including creating a voluntary state-level background check process for gun sales between private sellers, increasing state penalties for illegally selling a firearm and expanding the state’s existing “pink-slip” law to allow authorities to send people with drug or alcohol problems to a psychiatric hospital, where they cannot legally have access to guns.
Those proposals, however, were dead on arrival in the Republican-dominated Ohio General Assembly…
