So may the Democrats?…
Republican Walker’s past could give Democratic Georgia Senator Warnock a full win in the November election….
Donald Trump has heavily endorsed the former football running star….
Republicans risk losing the U.S. Senate race if they nominate Herschel Walker, two of Walker’s rivals said, citing a report by The Associated Press about how police confiscated a gun from the former football great following a domestic dispute 20 years ago.
“I’m here today because more shocking pieces of Herschel Walker’s past have been discovered,” Senate candidate and state Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black told reporters Friday in Atlanta. “And I’m deeply concerned that we’re about to forfeit control of the United States Senate again, under our watch, when it could be easily avoided.”
Black repeated an earlier statement that Walker’s past should disqualify him from the Senate….
…
There have been no reports of violence involving Walker in the past decade.
Walker’s violent history has done little to deter Republican support for his candidacy. He has been championed by former President Donald Trump and endorsed by the Senate’s top Republicans.
The former Heisman Trophy winner has been raising far more money than his competitors and they’re scrambling for traction, saying Walker’s appearances have been carefully controlled….

I think Walker will be the Republican nominee and a strong one at that.
Republicans don’t care about his violent tendencies.Their so called “conservative values” are total bunk which is evidenced almost daily nod,
Warnocks odds of being re-elected!
50/50 and that might be a tad generous.
Indeed, most observers have credited Warnocks victory to the smaller Republican turnout due to Trumps claims of “rigged” voting
With Walker as the candidateTrump will be there campaigning for him.
That, with the usual reduced voting by minorities In midterms, means that Warnock will be hard pressed to win another slim victory.

I put Warnock as a a ‘hold’ for Democrats who I think will slightly increase their Senate majority and lose their House majority…..
jamesb says
Democrats are expected to regain a House majority com 2024 no matter what…..
Zreebs says
That is not obvious to me.

Of course Walker will be the nominee, and that’s a good thing for the Democrats.
Ah, conventional political wisdom, like inflation trumps all and minorities don’t vote in the midterms. They also didn’t use to vote in runoffs now did they, until they did a year ago giving us a 50/50 Senate and allowing that “mixed race” woman break a record breaking 15 ties in the Senate to pass legislation.
Walker is a wife beater, and a thug, his Republican primary opponents will beat him up over it and the Republican primary electorate won’t care. But, guess who will care? Suburban educated voters, especially white women who will vote for the Democrat and who gave Georgia to Biden.
There will be two African Americans at the head of the Democratic ticket in Georgia, both who know how to organize. I don’t think there will be much problem with turnout.
Finally, does anyone here think that Donald Trump is going to shut up about the election being stole from him anytime soon? Do we think his massively stupid Republican followers are going to run to the polling booths without him on the ticket? Really?
Will Georgia be tough, sure it will. But I remember the predictions that Ossoff and Warnock would lose last year. Remember? We were told that right here, many times.
Just like some here have written off the Democrats chances of keeping the House here is premature, so are those who think a big stupid (Tommy Stupville like stupid) former football player wife beater will be elected to the Senate.

I agree with ya Keith on Walker and Georgia….
And yea…
The Big Guy is NEVEWR gonna stop crying….
And tearing the ass outta the party he’s pimping

Herschel Walker Doesn’t Like Kemp or Perdue
Georgia U.S. Senate candidate Herschel Walker (R) said that he did not support “either” Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) or former Sen. David Perdue (R) in the state’s gubernatorial race, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
Said Walker: “I don’t support either one of them. I’m mad at both of them.”
