To the dismay of the Russian President?
His efforts to ‘liberate’ the Ukraine have not gone as planned…
While he has had success in overrunning the separatist enclaves in the Eastern Ukraine….
His military has been bogged down in their attempt to take hold of the two main cities in the Ukraine….
The Ukraine’s military effort has been stubbornly resilient again the Russian forces , which are composed of a lot of just conscript ‘s….Remember…Again…The Russian ‘Army’ here is composed of ‘conscripts ‘ NOT professional soliders…Many of the men are far from their regular bases and have on the ‘ready for over a month’….They are NOT fighting for their homeland…
Support for the Ukrainians around the world has increased with more countries joining the effort to sanction the Russian economy and even financial system….
There have also been protest again the Russian President in Russia , were the effect of the sanctions have already taken hold…
About 250,000 Ukrainan’s have left the country out of the several million for Poland and other neighbouring countries…
It has been announced that Russia and the Ukraine will hold ‘talks’ on establishing a cease fire ….
Despite call for it?
The US will not enforce a ‘No Fly Zone’ over the country for the safety and humanitarian help for the Ukraine , in that such action could clearly put American’s aircraft in direct contact with Russian ones….
Putin has mentioned his nuclear forces again….
This ‘flexing’ should be disregarded ….
Such a move would leave the world with catastrophic results and nothing but the end for Russia …
Reality Check…
Calls to ‘isolate ‘ Russia after this ends are wildly dangerous….
A caged Russia is NOT what the world needs and would force Russia to play on its past worries , evident here in the Ukraine campaign…
Europe and America MUST find some sort of accomidation when this ends….
The issue is NOT the Russian people…
It IS the countries leader….
The Ukrainian army, with the assistance of growing ranks of citizen soldiers, said on Sunday that it had slowed Russia’s advance by wreaking havoc on Russian supply lines while fighting to keep control over the cities of Kyiv and Kharkiv.
“Enemy troops, deprived of timely replenishment of fuel and ammunition, are stopped,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement at 6 a.m. on Sunday. “The personnel of the occupying forces, the vast majority of whom are young conscripts, are exhausted by previous military exercises and have low morale.”
The mood in the historic center of Lviv, in western Ukraine, is decidedly more anxious. People are being stopped on street corners as Ukrainian soldiers hunt for Russian saboteurs. The city is preparing itself for what all assume is a coming battle, but it is also a place of refuge where, in addition to soldiers on street corners, you see families sitting with luggage, stranded…..

Fighting drew closer to the center of Kharkiv, in eastern Ukraine, according to videos and photographs analyzed by The New York Times. The footage showed Ukrainians firing rockets toward Russian troops, as well as some Russian military vehicles burning and others being ransacked by Ukrainian troops.
As Ukraine’s armed forces targeted Russian supply lines, the Kremlin’s offensive seemed likely to intensify, as U.S. officials said that most of the more than 150,000 Russian troops who had massed around Ukraine were now engaged in the fighting….
