All this from a new Marist Poll.…
A majority of Americans (62%) say they will trust the results of the 2024 election even if the candidate they support loses, which includes 82% of Democrats but only one third of Republicans (33%). More than eight in ten (81%) Americans believe there is a “serious threat” to our democracy including 89% of Republicans, 80% of independents, and 79% of Democrats. But when asked which party presents the bigger threat, there’s a split: 42% say Democrats, 41% say Republicans, and 8% say both….

While a majority of Americans (62%) believe Donald Trump continues to falsely say the 2020 election was rigged because he “doesn’t like the outcome,” fully 75% of Republicans say Trump has a legitimate claim that there were “real cases of fraud that changed the results.”
In one area of agreement, 70% of Americans say when losing candidates refuse to concede they do more harm than good to democracy. This includes 86% of Democrats, 69% of independents, and 56% of Republicans.
The partisan divide is in evidence on nearly every question related to election integrity….
…
When asked what they think is the biggest threat to fair elections, Americans list voter suppression (29%), voter fraud (21%), and vote tampering by the opposing political party (18%) as the top 3. Democrats (55%) and independents (29%) are most worried about voter suppression, while Republicans (34%) are most concerned about voter fraud…

Looking ahead to 2024, 36% of Democrats and Democratic leaning independents say their party will have a better chance winning the White House with Biden at the top of the ticket. 44% want someone else, and 20% are unsure.
In contrast, asked the same question about Trump, 50% of Republicans and GOP leaning independents say a Trump ticket has the best chance of recapturing the presidency. 35% want someone else, and 14% say they are unsure….
Note….
One could think that Joe Biden has a little more than a year to start climbing back up in the polls ….Or?
He’s and the Democratic Party IS in serious political trouble for the 2024 elections and beyond…..
(Democrats lost BIG in 2010 but Obama held on for a second term…Hillary Clinton and Democrats crashed a burned 4 years later)

Sure the majority do.
How about the Republicans? Only a Third eh? Remember this is consistent with previous polls showing 70% the Liars and thieves , with NO evidence whatsoever , claimed that Trump won.
Also about aThird of these domestic terrorists supporters condone “violence” to get their way.
But they believe in something called “the Constitution,”

Almost one-third of Republicans say they think violence may be necessary to solve the problems facing the United States, according to a new national survey by the nonprofit Public Religion Research Institute. The finding is part of PRRI’s 12th annual American Values Survey released Monday which, among other things, highlights the continued impact of the same falsehoods and conspiracy theories that fueled the violent Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol nearly one year later.
The survey was conducted between Sept. 16 and Sept. 29 through online interviews with a random sample of 2,508 adults living in all 50 states. Nearly one in five, or 18 percent, of overall respondents said they agreed with the statement: “Because things have gotten so far off track, true American patriots may have to resort to violence in order to save our country,” including 30 percent of Republicans, 11 percent of Democrats and 17 percent of independents….
[PRRI CEO & founder Robert] Jones said the substantial showing of support for political violence among Republicans is “a direct result of former President Trump calling into question the election,” pointing to another stark finding from the PRRI poll: More than two-thirds of Republicans, or 68 percent, continue to believe the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Donald Trump, compared to 26 percent of independents and just 6 percent of Democrats.
According to the survey, Americans who believe Trump won the 2020 election are roughly four times as likely than those who don’t to agree that violence may be necessary “to save our country,” by a measure of 39 percent to 10 percent. Since he lost the election a year ago, Trump has spread false conspiracy theories claiming that the election was rigged and that President Biden’s win was illegitimate.
The findings also seem to demonstrate a clear correlation between people’s views and their preferred news sources. Among Republicans who trust Fox News above other outlets, 82 percent said they believe the election was stolen from Trump. Ninety-seven percent of those who rely mostly on far-right news sources like Newsmax and One America News (OAN) said the same, compared to less than half, 44 percent, of Republicans who trust mainstream news outlets….
