First?
He IS the MOST popular Republican…
Hands down….
But?
In a new Marquette poll...
His slippage among Republicans and Americans in general is evident…
The poll has Trump at a 73% favourable opinion among Republicans…
That is a double digit drop from before when Trump’s numbers where north of 80%
But here’s even worst news for the one term President…
Only 60% of Republicans want him to run for President again….
Among all of the poll respondents ?
71% of them do NOT want him to run for his old job as President…
Time is NOT being good to Donald J. Trump’s political aspirations it would seem….
To top this off?
A month or so Trump was even with Biden in a few polls…
Not in this one…
Trump comes in at 34%….
Biden at 42% (his over all favorable average right now) …..
This is all one poll…
We’re 3 years out from the next Presidential election…
Yes… Joe Biden’s numbers are low…
But…
Right now?
For ALL American’s?
Ole’ Joe is STILL doing better than Donald Trump the guy he beat by 7 millions votes a year ago…..

Conservative media mogul Rupert Murdoch is publicly rebuking former president Donald Trump — telling him to get over the past and to focus on the future.
Trump — who continues to allege that the 2020 election was “rigged” against him, including recently in News Corp’s Wall Street Journal — should move on, billionaire Murdoch, 90, said Wednesday during News Corp’s annual shareholder meeting….

Daniel says
This is the same Rupert Murdoch who created FOX NEWS! An Elitist like he is, is the reason Trump won the GOP Nomination & Presidency.
Clowns like Murdoch & Kristol overlooked Rual America too much. These two are closet Republicans if they are Republicans at all. I certainly would call them Democrats now!

If Kyle comes back, I hope you aren’t going to make jokes about how he might commit suicide again.

I last remember him on the Politics1 site.

Keith says
Does anyone remember anyone joking about Kyle committing suicide? I asked that question before and only Corey seems to remember. How odd.
CG says
I assume nobody else was close enough to Kyle at the time for it to be discussed at length via email, as we did. So it would be surprising if they remembered and even more so to admit to remembering here. That because he was gay and a Christian he must hate himself and was going to commit suicide. It was all very funny to you. Luckily, he was a strong person. I hope he is doing well these days.
You definitely know you did it
Ghost of SE says
I used to comment back and forth with him on P1. Seemed like a real cool cat.
He and I shared a common IP address, which resulted in his inability to comment after I got the boot for hijacking usernames, and I did feel bad for causing that issue for him.
CG says
Oh wow, now I remember that too.
CG says
Since much time has passed and you are being open, did you hijack my username a lot on there?
Also, in an attempt to exonerate Keith, if you did so, did it involve gay porn links and frequent references of the word “pronto?”
Ghost of SE says
I hijacked everybody and did use a lot of sexual innuendo my fourteen year old brain cooked up mere months after my Dad gave me “the talk.” The Texan and Godless Communist were my all time favorite targets, but I hit everyone with that.
Never once used porn links, though. And as to Pronto, I’m not recalling it offhand.
Zreebs says
What is the significance with the word”pronto”?
CG says
That somehow the person posting under my user name required being on the receiving end of a sex act “pronto”, specifically from a performer named John Striker or something like that. Whomever did those posts must have been a fan.
Ghost of SE says
Jeff Stryker I remember well from P1. Above my pay grade in so many respects.
Zreebs says
I very much doubt Keith would do that, and he said he never did it. There were probably 50 frequent posters on p1. Why blame Keith?
I do not recall the actual incident, but I recall you bringing it up before.
CG says
I just recall that years after P1, Keith said “pronto” several times.
Not something I can prove at this time, but there is a clear #1 suspect.
I did make every effort today for SE to exonerate him.
And who else was so fixated on trying to describe me (and other conservatives and apparently even some non conservatives) as being secretly gay than he?
jamesb says
I did this place to continue the P1 community….
DAMN!
New Thread coming DSD won’t be able see this….
jamesb says
Love it!
CG says
james, if you were to abide by a previous agreement to not have the names of commenters referenced (especially last names) that are not part of their current username, I might post more often, and thus, there would be a lot more comments (and less people attacking you without another option)
But if that is something that you are not going to do anything about, then I will not be posting much.. maybe a once in four months appearance.. who knows? maybe not.
If I do post under that circumstance of full names being fair game and if somebody is going to reference my full name, then I definitely have the right to use their full name too.
If there is a relevant political news story online about them or past writings, I also will be able to link those (we would not want to whitewash history or pretend things did not happen). I suppose that means if there is a similar news story about me (not just someone who has the same name as me), then they can post that too. Thus far, I think I am safe in that regard.
Up to you.
jamesb says
CG?
U DO understand that guys here will post ir name from time to time just to break ur balls…
Some here if u ask them something?
They will do the opposite
You have to decide on ur own
Ot ‘s a political thing
CG says
It’s something you alone here have the “power” to stop, whether it is removing posts or banning people.
Remember what I said about how I did not allow the Texan to post an article about your son on my blog. No matter how much I may ever dislike you, I would never find that ok.
But there has to be one standard for all, Not two standards.
If “breaking balls” is fair game, then I will break as I see fit also and if nobody else is getting posts deleted or partially redacted, then the same will apply to me.
jamesb says
The Texan is banned from here…

jamesb says
The Texan is NEVER coming back….
My Name Is Jack says
Last I heard he was sending some Mexican drug runners to get me.
I haven’t slept the same since.
CG says
The Texan once sent me something about one of james kids as a comment on my blog. (and many other rants about him and this site previously)
Completely and totally irrelevant to anything that could possibly be discussed there, here, or anywhere, so needless to say I did not allow the comment to be published.
I wish james would understand, as he said he once did, the preference to keep names, last names at the minimum, off of the comments here.
jamesb says
If people here ask
I try to accomidate
It doesn’t always work that way
Zreebs says
Why don’t we just call him CG if that is what he wants? People have a right to change their names if they wish. A woman at my church recently changed her name from Eric to Ashley. No one calls her Eric anymore. Whatever.
Just call him CG, and he’ll be happy. Maybe he will even stop harassing Keith in return?
jamesb says
I have no problem with what ever ANYONE here wants to be called….
I DO think that someone here is NOT gonna go along with that….
CG says
Seems like an obvious solution.
jamesb says
IF EVERYONE here goes along….
Zreebs says
Yes. I would prefer to be referred to as Zreebs, not Z (as James calls me), but I recognize that James deliberately tries to irritate me on multiple levels. I consider that specific irritation a very minor one, and until now, I just dealt with it without saying anything.
My Name Is Jack says
I have called him CG ever since he requested that moniker and will continue to.
One thing though that I find puzzling is that he seems to feel ganged up on here.Well, since all the posters here are nominally Democrats ,except for him and Daniel? Its not unusual that his remarks are often met with contrary ones from the other posters.
However, I’ve always found that he gives just as good as he takes. So I don’t see his problem.
Zreebs says
I do not understand CG’s obsession with Keith. He continually decides Keith with accusations that no one here remembers happening. CG would love to see Keith be destroyed. And even if CG is correct about his accusations (most of which I suspect are totally baseless) who really cares what Keith said 15 years ago or longer? None of us are the same people we were 15 years ago.
Ghost of SE says
Maybe he can come back if he gives the ol dog a scratch behind the ears, or perhaps a belly rub?
Zreebs says
The Texan never bothered me. James invited CG back after he got banned – for something he still hasn’t apologized for, why not invite theTexan back too on a trial basis? It has been years and the Texan may be different than he once was. I don’t think the Texan ever stalked anyone here.
Ghost of SE says
Last I saw around 2016, on the comments section of Corey’s site no less, he was a die hard Trump Democrat.
Daniel says
TRUMP isn’t slipping among Republicans. He controls the Republican Party, especially the Republican House Caucus.
Daniel says
TRUMPS RAW VOTE TOTALS IN THE LAST TWO ELECTIONS…
2016: 62,985,153 Votes
2020: 74,225,839 Votes
Despite his Unpopularity and losing the Presidency in 2020 Trump increased his RAW VOTE Total from 2016 to 2020 by 11,240,686 Votes.
That is astonishing for someone who who is claimed by the cooked Media to be the most hatred Individual in the United States!!!
Bottom Line: Rupert Murdoch should be quiet! Trump won more RAW VOTES than Ronald Reagan, George H, W. Bush, George W. Bush, John McCain and Mitt Romney.
The Republican Party cannot and will not survive without Donald Trump. Trump opened up a pathway for Republicans to connect to the White Working Class. If the Republican Party goes back to NeoConservatism the Party is DEAD.
Trump won more Hispanic Voters according to 2016 & 2020 Exit Polls than Mitt Romney and John McCain.
Scott P says
Comparing raw votes of a nominee in 2020 to those from a nominee 20-30 years prior tells us nothing due to population increase.
Reagan’s landslide victory of 1984 set the record for largest number of votes received by a Presidential candidate with 54 million. But in 2004 both John Kerry and GW Bush bested that number receiving 59 and 62 million votes respectively.
Daniel says
Still, I maintain that the Republican Party cannot survive without Trump. Republicans will stay home if he doesn’t run in 2024.
My Name Is Jack says
Actually,I agree with the essence of that.
If Trump doesn’t run ,he could endorse a successor ;however, if the Republican Party nominates someone Trump actively opposes? Then millions of his supporters would stay home.
That’s why all the talk about someone like Nikki Haley, Larry Hogan or Liz Cheney as a Republican presidential candidate in 2024 is such a crock.
Daniel says
If Trump doesn’t run I suspect he will endorse someone like Ron DeSantis, Kristi Noem, Ted Cruz or even Greg Abbott (assuming Abbott beats O’Rourke next year in Texas)
jamesb says
I doubt VERY MUCH Trump would ‘endorse’ DeSantis for ANYTHING….
jamesb says
Bull Shit
The party IS SLOWLY putting distance between him and it’s lawmakers and canidates
My Name Is Jack says
As of now?
If Donald Trump says he wants to be the nominee of the Republican Party in 2024.
He will be the nominee.
And ,unfortunately for your obsession? There won’t even be a serious challenger to him.

Absolutely agreed Jack!

Hell you’ve been “ predicting ” Trumps demise for five years on almost a daily basis!Everyone here knows that.
Uh “that said” You’re as full of it now as you’ve been for the past five years .
Your increasingly desperate attempts to “prove” that Trump is losing support in the Republican Party are comical in the extreme.
Some unknown Republican officeholder says something vaguely critical of Trump and you highlight it as a sure sign that Trump is in a state of collapse.
It’s all dumb and stupid and just shows how obsessed you are.
Daniel says
That’s just not true James. 75 % of Republicans want Trump to run again.
REPUBLICANS HAVE TO EMBRACE TRUMP.
If they don’t they will lose 30 Million Votes.
Scott P says
Sure, but 71% of Americans don’t want him to run again. This puts the GOP in a tough situation. Can’t win with him. Can’t win without him.

Donald Trump isn’t declining!

The Infrastructure or BIF Bill had Bipartisan Support (19 GOP Senators/13 GOP House Members)
BUT
The “Built Back Better” Bill will get ZERO Support from Republicans in either the Senate or House.
My Name Is Jack says
Making a big deal because a few Republicans here and there buck the Trump line as indicative of his “declining” support in the Republican Party shows a weird obsession trying to make ones wish a reality.
Daniel says
Agreed Jack!
jamesb says
Actually ?
I have been showing ‘proof’ of Trump’s gradual decline for months

I don’t quite get it why James says GOP Candidates putting distance between themselves and Trump because that isn’t true at all. Some Senate Candidates might BUT Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Minority Whip Steve Scalise and Conference Chair Elise Stefanik have fully embraced Trump.
jamesb says
McCarthy want’s his caucus members to NOT go after infrastructure supporters
In several recent House votes GOP members have bucked Trump amd voted ‘Aye’ with Democrats

On the record GOP Senators was the House backbiting to end
ALL of this is NOT following what the one term ex-President seems want’s

AND?

And she voted to impeach his big ass…..
WHAT IS UR POINT Jack?
These people ARE true Red Republicans and they and others don’t like or way the rascal!
My Name Is Jack says
My “point” is simple and I’m sure everyone here understands it,except you.
Obsession will do that to a person. You are so obsessed in “proving” that Trump is “fading away”( when any rational person can see that’s not true) that you seize upon minor occurrences as justifying your view.
Humorously, you actually seem to agree that Trump totally dominates the Republican Party .
You make no sense really.
I have predicated all my posts with “as of now.” Can things change? Of course but so far they haven’t and right now?No it’s not too much today to say that Donald Trump will be the nominee of the Republican Party in 2024 and will face no serious opposition and presently totally dominates that party.
Daniel says
You are a JOKES James! You shouldn’t be running a Political Blog!
jamesb says
Yea
Sometimes i DO joke
But i’m serious on the Trump decline

He’s STILL ‘The Man’ for GOPer’s

James has a major blindspot when it comes to Trump…We get that he doesn’t have 100 percent of the Republican caucus and 100% of Republicans in love with him…But he has 70% in love with him and ready to throw anyone (Republican or Democrat) into a grave if they don’t support Trump…That is a staggering number of supporters 40-50 million right there..maybe 15 million don’t love the guy, but I bet at least another 15%-25% of Republicans that don’t like Trump would support him if he was running because they want to be on the winning side…Only a small core of Republicans against him…10% at best…That is a domination of the party…
You can keep saying look at the edges…I’d say back, look at the Fucking base and Middle, it is all Trump…You have said McConnel has tamped down his anti trump rhetoric…that is because he is scared of him…McConnel knows it is a losing battle to saying anything back against Trump even if he is slandering the Minority leader on a daily basis, why cause if he attacks Trump, he starts to loose people in his caucus, you want to talk about fraying at the edges, Trumps attacks on McConnell could unravel the guy at some point…
jamesb says
NO blind spot….
Just the reality that around the edges things ARE moving away from him….
I do NOT accept the idea that he is the ‘second coming’ which some here and REPUBLICANS are pushing…
He shits like everyone else…
And despite that selling job that he IS ALL that?
SEVEN MILLION Americans voted his ass OUT OF OFFICE….
His approval polling numbers have DROPPED….
Even among his party faithful…Imagine THAT???
The MAJORITY of Americans….(And some of those Republicans I showcase in linked piece’s here that some people here do NOT care to acknowledge)
OVERWHELIMG in this latest poll?
What him to STFU and go away….
AGAIN….
McConnell and McCarthy ARE getting heat from Trump & Co….
BUT?
Their members KEEP them in their leadership jobs….
THAT IS the Reality….
My Name Is Jack says
The comments by bdog above are of course spot on and your response is nonsensical and have nothing to do with the reality that Trump dominates tye Republican Party.

Jonathan Chait: “‘Never Trump’ was a label embraced by a handful of Republicans who deemed Donald Trump disqualified for office by some combination of his ignorance, his mendacity, his bigotry, and/or his authoritarianism. Almost no one still affiliated with the party or the conservative movement willingly uses the label any more. The label has largely been repurposed by Trump himself as an epithet against any Republican who dares utter criticism of him, however mild. “Never Trump” now serves essentially the same role in right-wing discourse as ‘Trotskyite’ did in Stalin’s Russia — an all-purpose accusation of secret disloyalties, which must be fervently disavowed.”
“In place of Never Trumpism, the Biden-era Republican party offers up figures like Chris Christie. Christie has put himself forward as the face of Republican resistance to Trump. But it is a form of ‘resistance’ so tepid as to become almost indistinguishable from support.”
My Name Is Jack says
Trump ,in justifying his continued claims the the election was stolen, has privately told people that Al Gore should never have conceded in 2000.
At various times, Republicans have falsely compared Trumps actions to what happened in 2000.Of course there is no comparison.
Al Gore went in front of the whole country and conceded the election.
jamesb says

jamesb says
A Trump….
Push to the limit…..
My Name Is Jack says
Nonsensical
Define what you mean by the “limit.”
Unlike Trump who was claiming various voting irregularities in several states,Gore was merely trying to get a statewide recount in Florida where he trailed by a mere 500 or so votes.A victory there would have made him President.
Once the Supreme Court stopped the recount,it was over.
So what “limit” are you talking about?
CG says
In the Holiday spirit, I will offer some facts.
Gore did not request a statewide recount. He wanted a recount in four counties that had favored him- Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Volusia
The Florida Supreme Court had begun a statewide recount, which was halted by the U.S. Supreme Court decision.
After the fact, the media went and counted the ballots and found that under what the Gore campaign had requested, as well as what the Florida Supreme Court had begun, GWB would have carried Florida by more votes.
That makes it similar to the claims Trump had about Arizona. The “audit” found he would have lost it by even more.
Keith says
I see Corey has returned, reliving the salad days of the Republican Party. Happy Thanksgiving Corey Gross, I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow and are thankful for the wonderful economy that Joe Biden is giving us all.
CG says
H. Keith Lesnick,
Joe Biden nor any other President “gives us an economy.”
However, while things may be going well for you as a rich, old white man, there are many Americans who do not feel the same way, which is why politically, things are so bad for Biden’s party right now.
Keith says
I recall Corey Gross telling us how good the economy was under Republicans on any number of occasions.
Competency in government creates a strong economic environment. Goldman just raised its GDP estimate to 6 or 7%. Something to be very thankful for since Trump’s numbers never went above Hoover’s and Bush gave us a recession at near depression levels (the last two Republican Presidents). So, yes, we should all thank Joe Biden.
Once again, a Democrat cleaning up a Republican’s mess.
jamesb says
Now Democrats need to work on the ‘perception’ park to make the Goldman Sachs guess to be ‘felt and registered ‘ by the American public….
CG says
The American people and the private sector make the economy, not Trump nor Biden. Both of them had or have bad policies.
The truth is that at present day, Biden whom I voted for, is one of the most unpopular Presidents in modern history, with approval numbers, even below that of Trump, but without any sort of a loyal base, despite the attempts of H. Keith Lesnick to try to prop up here on a blog visited by about 8 people at best, a President whom he probably does not even like that much.
jamesb says
Ok…
As I have pointed out…
Several hundred people actually ‘see’ the blog every day directly and thru twitter…….
Less that a dozen comment….
CG says
Trying to tell Americans that they are better off than they were four years ago, is a very hard sell politically.
Nobody who is not a rich white old man with a fire pit at his house really feels that way. People go to stores and buy gas, etc.
Biden was elected, fairly narrowly, to not be Trump and most importantly to end the pandemic.
Instead, he took his eye off of fighting Covid to the extent he should have and falsely acted as if he had a mandate from the voters to be FDR.
The people, including many Biden voters, are clearly dissatisfied with his performance which is why Republicans, (as much of a mess as they are in) are likely to benefit in 2022. Things will get even worse in terms of his ability to get anything done if Republicans control Congress.
Hopefully, Biden can try to correct course and focus on what he needs to do more than what he wants to do and also not run for reelection. If he does, we might wind up with Trump as President again, and that would be horrible.
We need a different person to be President after the next election, be they Republican, Democrat, or Independent.
jamesb says
7 million votes ain’t narrow….
I beg to differ also on Biden being ‘solely’ to blame….
The economy is attached to the pandemic which Trump tried to avoid …
He has left things for shit for Biden to clean up…
I agree…
Hopefully Biden CAN get a fix on things and get some damn credit for it….
And yes…
Joseph Biden is NOT a hell raiser…
THAT IS why he’s the President.…
Keith says
I should point out to our friend Corey that Ronald Reagan at this point in his term of office was even less popular that Biden at this point. But Corey and James have always been obsessed with poll numbers.
Flag waving notwithstanding, you can bet your ample ass that if the economic numbers were bad that Biden would be getting the blame from our Republican friends. Why they are already downplaying this news and keeping up the negative drumbeat.
Right now the Biden Administration has overseen job growth exceeding 600K per month, seven million plus jobs have been created in less than a year, and wages are way up, while inflation is ticking down.
Competency breeds economic confidence. Polls lag, and these numbers are bad news for Republicans. Who, if George Bush were still in office, the last semi-competent Republican President, they would be peeing their pants in delight over these numbers.
CG says
“fairly narrowly” remember EC is what counts..
.And never said Biden is “solely” to blame, but he misread what the voters said by his actions as President and is acting like he had a mandate to do things he did not.
So, he is in very bad shape politically now.
CG says
Joe Biden is President *solely* because he is not Donald Trump.
He was nominated to run against Trump *solely* because he was not Bernie Sanders, whom primary voters, Democrats, Independents, and Republicans alike, correctly concluded would not beat Trump.
However, as President, Biden is acting somewhat similar to how Sanders would have, so the voters see a disconnect.
CG says
Reagan had much higher numbers in November of 1981. It was still a few months after he had been shot.
Now, they went down in 1982 because of economic angst and his party suffered in the midterms.
Reagan did not even decide he would run for reelection until I believe March of 1983.
Perhaps, Biden at age 82 will have the same kind of political appeal in a campaign for reelection that Reagan (who had already won a landslide) did in 2024, but I think even his fans think that is a huge ask.
People knew what they were getting with Reagan, who governed as he campaigned and stayed the course and saw the economy improve dramatically. With Biden, it is thus far being a different situation,
CG says
I looked up Reagan’s approval/disapproval history.
At the end of November 1981, he was still at 54/37.
Currently, Biden by comparison is at 42/55 according to Gallup (while others polls have it even worse)
I do not think there would have been any polls, even in 1982, showing Jimmy Carter ahead in a rematch against Reagan.
Keith says
I see some serious jealousy here today. Very angry of the eve of a holiday that is so important to our community.
A few things then we are off to the gym and a three mile run.
Ronald Reagan was only in the upper forties when he finished his first year in office and then his approval fell through the floor the following year because of an economic downturn. Guess what, the public blamed him (I know Corey doesn’t think that’s fair).
Next year the economy will be booming and inflation (and gas prices) will have receded. So what gets the blame also gets praise. It just works that way in politics Corey.
The only thing I can say about Corey’s Rittenhouse comments are what I said about his attempt to defend the January 6th insurrectionists. How very, very Republican. So willing to excuse willful racism with a whataboutism. Sad.

I hope the economy ‘feels’ good and inflation subsides by the coming summer fir political and wallet/bank account reasons
CG says
The month by month approval for Reagan was documented. The numbers got worse in 1982 but ultimately he won reelection by winning 49 states.
Biden is unlikely to run for reelection. When he makes the announcement, (if this site is still around), all Democrats here will say he made the right decision.
jamesb says
Biden says he’s gonna do a second term
Trump is just dancin
CG says
In no way did I defend anybody who broke the law on 1/6. I believe that anybody who broke the law, depending on the circumstance of what they actually did, should be prosecuted, and that includes Donald Trump.
This is unlike Keith, who expressed tacit approval for the person who shot Steve Scalise and attempted to kill many people.
Kyle Rittenhouse has nothing to do with 1/6. His case had nothing to do with “racism.” He was a dumb kid in the wrong place at the wrong time. Certainly. he is no hero. But he was also clearly not guilty as to what he was charged with.
CG says
I hope the economy is better in 2022 for the people who need to see it get better for their own lives, just as I hope we can beat the virus once and for all.
Those people though live in different worlds than a Napa County retiree who sips Chardonnay and smokes cigars and thumbs his nose at all the “fat ugly people” out there.
Well, the fat ugly people are likely to outvote the Keiths in upcoming elections.

Most of the “NeverTrumpers” have left the Republican Party and those left have pretty much abandoned electoral politics.
Chris Christie ,who once had a window of opportunity on the national stage around 2012, is no longer a serious player But since he is mildly critical of Trump is getting little airtime on various Tv networks.
jamesb says
He’s willing to go the record
He’s not alone by a long shot

Oh sure he is.
He saw an opening for relevance by being a Republican whowould go on television and criticize Trump.
Big deal.
Or are you suggesting Chris Christie is a threat to Trump?( please let it be that !I need a good laugh to get the holidays started on a joyful note!)
Chris Christie for President!Yeah that’s gonna sweep the country!
Democratic Socialist Dave says
You should have seen Chris Christie bob, duck and weave when pushing his new book on the Sunday talk shows, when asked whether he would support Trump in the 2024 general; his answer was basically “Yes”.

Why would the defense bring up Arbery’s toenails? The only reason I can think is to stir up racist images in some of the jurors.
People who watch conservative networks hear white supremicist rhetoric all of the time To the point they don’t even see it as racist rhetoric. Meanwhile, Legitimate racial justice issues have lost their place in the news.
Keith says
The defense asked for another dismissal today because there were Black Panthers outside the Court House demonstrating. The Prosecutor in this case has been so much better than the Rittenhouse murder trail, and the Judge too.
The Prosecutor actually did a great job with her interpretation of the Judge’s instructions. You want something done right, give it to a woman.
Ghost of SE says
Brunswick, GA, jury reaches verdict in the Arbery murder case.
CG says
The first defendant was found Guilty on all counts as I expect the others will.
This is the correct and just verdict just as Kyle Rittenhouse being found Not Guilty was the correct and just verdict.
The jury system works. Anybody who refuses to accept or attacks the process for political reasoning is attacking our democracy much the same way as those who refuse to accept electoral results they do not like do.

I see Zreebs was right
He said CG would reappear and act like nothing had happened.
Well I’m still interested Where the story left off.
CG in a pique of anger demanded that James enforce a supposed “secret agreement “ between the two of them thatJames would not allow any poster to use CGs given name.Oddly ,Keith had for months been referring to him by that name with no repercussions from James ,nor any posted complaints fromCG(we don’t know if CG was communicating with James through a back channel as they presumably did when the “secret agreement “ was reached.)
When there was no move by James to enforce the “secret agreement ,” CG departed until his “rare” appearance today.
James, for his part, denied there was ever any such “agreement”;however , since his credibility is constantly in question, the matter remained unresolved.
CG by his appearance today with no mention of the alledged “agreement” apparently regards such(if it ever existed) as of no validity anymore.
Zreebs commented after the incident that one day CG would reappear as if nothing had happened .And that is exactly what happened!
Thus, ends the saga of the “agreement.”
CG says
“jack” there are lots you do not understand and am not sure why you feel the need to insert yourself into these things. Perhaps, you are bored. I do not know what is supposed to have “happened.” I have been focusing on my health as I will need to continue to do.
james had agreed that my name would not be used on here since in the past, I had agreed to not say certain things about Keith, (although james encouraged me to expose him on my own blog). Since “Corey” used regularly by Keith, including my last name by him in recent months, it is completely fair to use Keith’s full name in response.
It is true that I had been basically ignoring Keith’s use of my first name. There was an incident in July when DSD used my name. I thought he unlike Keith was doing it in with non malignant intent (maybe I am wrong. DSD has said some awful things about me too lately) so I asked for that reference to be taken down and it was.) You come in “jack” after the fact and do a Yenta routine. Whatever floats your boat I guess.
james does not keep his word. Obviously, not a surprise. When I have taken breaks before, he has reached out via email (just as he has recently done with that nutcase Daniel) to post here in order to counter you etc, (“jack is on my ass” as he would often put it.)
Despite what james might post here, he really does not like you people. He needs the hits for the website and the comments though. He is vaccinated but loves the fact that it gets you people so upset that he won’t say so here and that it generates so many comments the site otherwise would not get because you posting about that.
My Name Is Jack says
I think the whole thing is hilarious as Hell.
“Secret agreements “
Your “rare appearances “
.”countering “me
And on and on.
It’s much more entertaining that ost of what’s posted here.
There’s one thing I don’t get though. For what reason does James want”hits?”You seem to have an offline relationship with him andare subject to his blandishments Maybe you know?Let is all in”on it!
(This is all such a damn hoot!)
Scott P says
Yeah I need some popcorn for this silliness.
CG says
Was never a “secret agreement.” While it was first discussed via an email “negotiation”, he said on here publicly years ago that he was going to take down parts of posts that referenced names that are not part of the person’s current handle.
He stopped doing it and apparently stopped caring so now first and last names are fair game. I note that somebody else has used his first real and last name in attacking him and he replied to them using theirs. I suppose since we have to register for teh site, he is the only one who has access to everyone’s real name. Good thing I do not have anything from my past to be ashamed of.
Maybe it is “funny” but I do not really understand why anybody wants to post here. If you have such an affinity for the others, can’t you just exchange Facebooks or whatever?
My Name Is Jack says
Why are you posting here?
CG says
I did one post about a fact check on your statement on Florida 2000. I have not posted on a political blog in over four months. Temporary relapse?
Before I knew it, Keith was coming after me unprovoked and using my first and last name, so that motivated me to offer some thoughts.
It would be boring here for you otherwise today. Enjoy it while you can.
CG says
Whether you will admit it or not jack, you also likely agree with me on much of what I have posted today in regards to perception of the economy being a huge political problem for Biden and Democrats right now, Others here are whistling past the political graveyard.
I think you also agree that Biden was elected with one charge- to defeat the virus, and not to try to have massive unrelated economic programs that are intended to fundamentally change aspects of the economy, etc.
My Name Is Jack says
That’s no answer for one who states,”I do not really understand why anybody wants to post here.”
Do continue with your ridiculous circumlocutions .We are all used to them ,as well as a dash of your well known attempts at “moral superiority.”
You are here as we all are because on some level we all enjoy it to some extent. Why you can’t admit that is what is really “funny.”
So come, go, stay.. whatever.
CG says
Enjoyable in small doses perhaps.
jack, you seem so rage-filled as of late, more than usual, I find it hard to believe you actually enjoy yourself here. I could be wrong. (deliberately channeling your inner wannabe pro wrestler has been a theory I have had before) Maybe you should consider a few month break for your own well-being.
Of course, it’s up to you… whatever
CG says
If you want more laughs, keep up with him on Twitter and watch him fight with Robert Reich.
CG says
“ridiculous circumlocutions”
Let’s leave the Mohel out of this.
Zreebs says
And now CG has Daniel and James (who seems to have gotten even more conservative) helping him explain some of his conservative points.

Georgia is changing on several fronts?
Keith Boykin
@keithboykin
Remember, if local authorities in Georgia had their way, no one would have ever been charged for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery.
It took weeks of protest before charges were even brought in the case, 74 days after Arbery was shot and killed in February 2020.
Ghost of SE says
Rittenhouse was a punk kid looking for a fight. I’ve met his type many times in retail and College.
The fact that the subsequent dominoes fell in just such a way that his actions could be read by a jury as “self defense” does not take away from that. He won’t be so lucky the next time he’s in an altercation(and knowing that type, he almost certainly will be).
CG says
No evidence at all that he was “looking for a fight.” He should never have been there to be certain, but the laws and the evidence in regards to what he was charged with overwhelmingly point to Not Guilty. You definitely would not have been able to sit on that jury. The Justice system is supposed to be “blind” and not take into account whether a party in a courtroom is likable or not.
Very different situation in Georgia where murderers were justly found guilty based on the evidence and the law. While this will not bring he son back, I hope Ahmaud’s mother finds some peace.

Without scrolling back hundreds of comments I can’t see where Jack said anything incorrect about Florida in 2000. Yesterday he pointed out how Republicans comparing Gore contesting the election results fir 36 days then publicly conceding to the GOP buying into Trump continuing to lie about the 2020 election being stolen in a false equivalency.
It is. Move on.
CG says
The Gore campaign did not request a statewide recount. They requested a recount in four specific counties.
I had other points about Florida 2000 but that was what I was correcting.
jack wanted to know if mrs. james was in favor of storming the Capitol while several Democrats were objecting to the democratic process of counting the Electoral Votes in January of 2001. We did not get an answer to that.
Scott P says
I’m not James bur if you asked me that same question I’d ignore you too. There was no Democratic storming of the Capitol in Jan. 2001. There was no question that VP Gore would do the right thing and declare the correct winner of the 2000 election.
It’s a moot point.
Are you inviting your Straw Man to Thanksgiving Dinner.
CG says
Im just paraphrasing the exchange between james and jack.
james said his wife agrees with Trump and Gore should have never conceded. jack correctly pointed out that it was truly over then and what was the alternative? Storm the streets or words to that extent.
james gave some sort of reply of “take it to the limit.”
jack wanted to know what the “limit” was. I see the point. I do remember people in 2001 saying that Gore should appeal to the United Nations.
My Name Is Jack says
Yes that’s what happened.
The precursor to the whole thing was Trump saying that Gore shouldn’t have conceded.I presume implying that Gore should have taken Trumps path.
Scott P says
Yes Gore was out of options but apparently for Trump and most Republicans that doesn’t matter anymore.
I wonder how in the Goal many think Bush didn’t legitimately win in 2000 now that Trump thinks Gore should have kept fighting. Strange days.
CG says
Trump and his ardent backers were openly saying after the 2020 election that GWB had “stolen” an election.
Scott P says

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone from beautiful and warm California, and that includes Corey.
What an interesting day, an endless conversation about secret agreements, strange gay code words, and again, the accusation that I suggested someone kill themselves (a horrible lie that no one seems to remember).
Sounds like a cheap novel.
Who knew that Corey and James talked so much or that James dislikes us all, or that all he’s interested in is the shear number of comments rather than the substance of what people might think. Really? We have Corey to thank
for this enlightenment. The best, James is vaccinated, but he won’t admit it because he wants to keep us badgering him over the topic, presumably because it generates more comments. You can’t make this shit up.
Through it all James is thrilled about the number of posts this little dispute generated. A dispute over a given name that someone has used on-line for years and that they have had for forty years plus. Amazing.
The fact that that someone referenced the word pronto is jaw dropping. Other than “hurry up” what the fuck does pronto mean?
But back to Thanksgiving, Corey’s attempt at sarcasm today regarding my life here in California reminded me of many of those things I have to be thankful for (and to reset the privacy settings on my Facebook account). For the record, I live in Sonoma (not Napa) and have never smoked anything, especially a cigar. But, I did have a fire tonight in the fire pit and some dynamite Chardonnay. The evening reinforced the silliness of the whole conversation today.
Our friend Corey’s whataboutisms become very tiring, especially when he uses them to justify white supremacy in the case of chubby little Kyle Rittenhouse. No the Justice system did not work the way it should, there would never have even been a trial in Georgia if the prosecutors hadn’t been forced into it, and the trial in Wisconsin was simply a joke run by a rightwing judge. And, of course, Al Gore actually believes in the peaceful transfer of power unlike over 70% of the elected Republicans in the country.
So, once again, have a great day everyone. Enjoy yourselves.
My Name Is Jack says
Yes,Happy Thanksgiving to all here!
