Donald J. Trump is about one thing….
That isn’t the Republican Party….
It’s about HIM.….
One has been accused of assaulting another White House aide. Another allegedly threatened his ex-wife’s life, exaggerated claims of financial success and alarmed business associates with his erratic behavior. A third has asked a judge to keep past protection-from-abuse orders sealed.
As former President Donald Trump wades into contested primaries across the country, he’s trying to exact revenge and remake the Republican Party in his image. In doing so, he has endorsed a series of candidates involved in allegations of wrongdoing, especially concerning their treatment of women.
That’s contributing to anxiety among some Republicans who worry that Trump is lending his powerful political backing only to those who flatter his ego. Such candidates may be able to win GOP primaries in which the party’s Trump-supporting base dominates, only to struggle in the general election.
And with control of Congress hinging on just a few seats, such missteps could be costly.
“There is no vetting process — at least not on policy and electability,” said Dan Eberhart, a GOP donor and Trump supporter who said the concerns extend to many corners of the party. “The endorsement process comes down to how much a candidate supports the former president and is willing to have the Trump machine run their campaign and fundraising. … Whether they are the most viable candidate in a given race is secondary.”…

Who here “cares” about the Republican Party?
You often mouth off this rubbish that Trump doesn’t “care” about the Republican Party?Well exactly what is the Republican Party? Its made up of those who vote for and support Republican candidates .
Well over 90% of them voted for Trump. So quite apparently they believe he well represents that party.
As for myself?I couldn’t care less about the Republican Party.Maybe you do?Good for you.Have a ball!
jamesb says
Well we certainly KNOW that you do NOT care about GOPer’s except when you DO complain about then, eh?
My Name Is Jack says
Tell us how much you “care “ about them Homer .
This whole “Trump isn’t a Republican routine “ you’ve been on for years is goofy and dumb.
The Republicans certainly believe he’s one of them.Who the Hell are you to tell them otherwise?
Keith says
Yes, we’ve been told for years that Trump really isn’t a Republican. Well he sure is now, he runs the party. Did you see him yesterday in Iowa.
Actually, given the inherent racism of most Republicans, it can be repeated, because it’s true, the Republicans created Trump.
Scott P says
I’ve long said Trump is simply the end result of what that now thankfully dead doper Rush Limbaugh started. For years Republixabs wanted a Trump like candidate who was open about his bigotry and refused to apologize for anything. But the powers that be in the GOP always pulled it back just enough to allow for establishment candidates to get the nomination.
In 2016 the dam finally broke and a Limbaugh type was nominated. The party could have pulled their support after the Access Hollywood tape 5 years ago. But they didn’t. From that point on the Republican Party has been owned by Trump. With the exception of a handful of dissenters who are going nowhere in their efforts.
jamesb says
And one can only hope that Trump would fuck up his run up and others again…..
jamesb says
He, he, he….
I’m sticking to my story which the Republicans in this piece are kinda acknowledging….AND THEY ARE WORRIED he will screw THEM😳
The guy couldn’t give a rat’s ass about ‘his’ party people….
NEVER DID….
Donald John Trump is one fucking way…..
“HIS WAY’….
The Republican Party IS the vessel….
I have pointed out here years ago that Trump leans which every way the money goes….
It STILL IS that way…
U guys point out that he ‘pimp’s the party….
I who heartily agree….
My Name Is Jack says
Who cares about what Trump gives a “rats ass” about?
What is this?Poor old Republicans … Big bad Trump taking advantage of them?
Cow Manure!
Trump gives them the raw meat and they love it!
You act as if these bigots ,terrorists, and general White trash are somehow “victims” of Trump. In reality ,they are his foot soldiers. They don’t give a damn that he lies to them. They like his lies, appeals to their hatreds and prejudice.
Donald Trump is the epitome of a Republican in 2021 and your silly apologia?Same old BS you’ve been spouting for 5 years now and just as much garbage now as when you adopted that line in 2016.

At the beginning of Bidens Administration I opined that the only real issue was the pandemic(9 months later I would add inflation and the supply chain issues ,however both are related to the pandemic). The “usual suspect” here told me how wrong I was .
Now we have this from Politico..”For the president and has allies, there’s only one clear way out:Reports from leading party operatives ,some shared with the White House and Democratic committees and polling provided to Politico, all point to Biden needing to get a handle on the vitus to claw his way out of the muddle.”
My Name Is Jack says
And more…Politico says that Democrats have gotten little credit for the Covid relief package ,including the $1400:payments and the $300 per week unemployment insurance supplements .People are merely focusing on the lingering pandemic .
Now Biden isn’t responsible for the pandemic and ,in my view ,has done a pretty good job with it,but the old adage …
“A President probably gets way too much credit when things are going good and way too much blame when things are going bad” is apropos here.
Things aren’t going well;thus, Bidens dilemma .
jamesb says
I will give my view on Biden’s problem tonight….

Spineless Republican Politician of the Week:
Steadfast Stalwart Steve Scalise (R-Calf., House Minority Whip) stands solidly by the Constitution, the laws and the facts in his interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday yesterday:
CHRIS WALLACE….But I — I want to ask you a specific question. Do you think the 2020
election was stolen from Donald Trump? And continued — continuing to make
that charge, not having states do election reforms, but specifically making
this charge that the election was stolen. Do you think that that hurts,
undermines American democracy?
SCALISE: Well, Chris, I’ve been very clear from the beginning. If you look
at a number of states, they didn’t follow their state-passed laws that
govern the election for president. That is what the United States
Constitution says. They don’t say the states determine what the rules are.
They say the state legislatures determine the rules —
WALLACE: But the states all certified.
(CROSSTALK)
SCALISE: A number of states, they didn’t follow those legislative —
WALLACE: The states all certified.
(CROSSTALK)
SCALISE: They didn’t follow those legislative rules.
Right. But at the end of the day, are we going to follow what the
Constitution says or not? I hope we get back to what the Constitution says.
But clearly, a number of states, they didn’t follow those legislative
rules.
(CROSSTALK)
WALLACE: So you think the election was — stolen?
SCALISE: What I said is there are states that didn’t follow their
legislatively set rules. That’s what the United States Constitution says.
And I think there are a lot of people that want us to get back to what the
Constitution says we should be doing. Not just with elections, but a lot of
other things, too.
And there are some people that want to just ignore what the Constitution
says and do their own thing. You know, that’s been a debate that’s been
going on in this country for a long time.
WALLACE: But do you — do you —
SCALISE: Why don’t we just get back to the Constitution?
WALLACE: I —
(CROSSTALK)
SCALISE: We won’t have that (ph) problem.
WALLACE: And they certainly can happen (ph) — but there are people out
there — there was a rally for President Trump yesterday and a number of
people said, Joe Biden is not my president, Donald Trump is my president.
I guess the question is, do you think the election — the last time, I
promise — do you think the election was stolen or not? I understand you
think there were irregularities and things that need to be fixed. Do you
think the election was stolen?
SCALISE: And it’s not just irregularities. It’s states that did not follow
the laws set which the Constitution says they’re supposed to follow. When
you see states like Georgia cleaning up some of the mess, and people
calling that Jim Crow law, that’s a flat-out lie. I think people believe —
(CROSSTALK)
WALLACE: That’s the new law.
SCALISE: — against that sort of thing.
WALLACE: All right.
SCALISE: Yeah, but the law says — again, the legislature passed that law.
That’s what the Constitution of the United States says and it wasn’t
followed in a number of states.
WALLACE: Congressman Scalise, thank you. Thanks for your time. Always good
to talk with you, and I appreciate the way you step up and answer questions
and the way you choose to. Thank you, sir.
SCALISE: Sure. Great to be back with you. Thanks, Chris.

Anytime you hear a Republican start mouthing off about “ The Constitution ?
Get ready to hear a packet of Lies.
Scalise is nothing but a liar, a cheat and a would be thief who is still mad that the Republicans couldn’t steal the election.
Zreebs says
Notice when he talks about the Constitution, his sole goal in the conversation is to undermine The Constitution. I can see though why Republicans chose him for leadership. He is as sleazy and evil as they come.
