It ain’t just about the virus anymore….
And problem’s with the Economy loses lawmakers in power votes….
And their jobs….
But public cheer over those gains is eclipsed by concern over an unusual economic rebound that is confounding hopes of a smooth return to full employment.
In a Fox News poll this month, 87 percent of those surveyed said they were “extremely” or “very” concerned about rising prices. The same poll showed an abrupt 20 percentage point plunge in the president’s approval rating for his economic policies.
Gallup’s reading of public confidence in the economy has fallen for four consecutive months, reaching its lowest mark since the spring of 2020, when many businesses were shuttered by the pandemic. Even so, a record high percentage of respondents said it is a good time to find work.
Republicans are trying to capitalize on public dissatisfaction, hammering the president for delivering a bumpy recovery, while administration officials urge patience, saying today’s economic ailments are temporary. But 18 months into a nerve-rattling medical crisis, many Americans are in no mood to wait. With elections to decide control of Congress one year away, the president and his team have little room for error.
Public preoccupation with prices this week helped reshape Biden’s sales pitch for his core economic agenda, which promises fundamental changes on child care, climate, manufacturing and energy policies….

This whole economic mess is DIRECTLY attributable to the pandemic.
To imply differently is false.
In other words,”but for” the pandemic? There would not be the supply shortages that are mostly responsible for the inflation which is on everyone’s mind.
And the longer the pandemic lasts.?The worse it will be for Biden and the Democrats.

And fours years of Trump & Co……..
Bit Biden , as President gets the rap
THAT IS how things go….
The economy gets better?
His numbers will climb

The covid virus will always be there
In smaller amounts
Just like flu and the common cold which is actually a virus
Biden WILL have to decide when to lift his Health Emergency call….
Without doing that?
The there will continue to be a focus on some sort of restrictions to the economy…..
Tough political call coming his way
Then it will be up to the public on how it acting from then
Do they trust going back to their old ‘inside’ and being close habits that business needs
Again
Tough for Biden and Dem’s like u say Jack

The pandemic will last as long as stupid people refuse to be vaccinated.
I sat next to one at a community meeting yesterday and I am now getting tested again.
Selfish stupid and prejudiced people who won’t, for whatever reason, get vaccinated to protect themselves, their family, and their fellow man. And, who don’t have the balls to defend their decision.
No, the pandemic won’t always be here if people simply do the right thing.
The pandemic is impacting the economy because of these stupid people. But the economy is still doing well.
Record employment, record unemployment numbers, record stock market, record tax revenue (means people are working at salaried jobs and actually paying), record salary increases, and child poverty cut in half.
Even inflation is around five percent, surely not the 12 percent it was when I bought my first home. Get the supply chain, a private enterprise issue, under control and you’ll get inflation under control.
Gas prices are up, I get it, do the environment a favor and buy an electric car.
The point of this rant. Make it safe to go out in public and do those jobs that feed the supply chain. Get vaccinated.

There needs to be a big conversation inside the Democratic Party about how we could be trailing this much on economic issues when we are now in the midst of the 3rd Dem President successfully leading a recovery from a GOP President’s recession.

President Biden shrugged off his plummeting poll numbers by saying that’s not why he ran for president and spoke extensively about his meeting with Pope Francis, referring to the pontiff as a “truly genuine decent man” at a news conference Sunday following the G20 summit in Rome……
…
“Look at every other president. The same thing has happened, but that’s not why I ran. I didn’t run to determine how well I’m going to do in the polls,” he said, adding that he ran to help American workers get better pay and good jobs, to fight climate change and to help solve the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic….
