The Lt. Governor leads….
And right behind her is Attorney General Tish James , who I think could jump into first place quickly
(She actually has a higher favoribilty number then Hochul)…..
The reality check in this poll is that outgoing Big Apple Mayor DeBlasio is double digits behind the two women ….
New York Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul (D), who is slated to become the state’s chief executive next week after Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D) resignation goes into effect, is leading among potential 2022 Democratic gubernatorial candidates in a new poll.
The survey, conducted by co/efficient, asked likely Democratic primary voters whether they would support Hochul, New York Attorney General Letitia James (D), New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) or someone else in the gubernatorial primary if it were held today.
Twenty-eight percent of respondents said they would support Hochul, followed by 24 percent who said they would vote for James and 5 percent who threw their support behind de Blasio.
Fourteen percent of those polled said they would support someone else in the primary, and 29 percent said they are still undecided.
The poll, conducted Aug. 15 and 16, comes amid a shakeup in New York politics following Cuomo’s resignation announcement….

The co/efficient poll found that Hochul has a 42 percent favorability among likely Democratic primary voters, and a 9 percent unfavorability. Still, however, 48 percent of respondents said they are unsure of their opinion on the lieutenant governor.
James had a 57 percent favorability in the poll, with 11 percent saying they have an unfavorable opinion towards her. Nearly a third of respondents, 32 percent, however, said they are unsure of their opinion on the attorney general…..

NY-Gov (D): Co/Efficient polling looks at the NY Governor race in 2022 on the Democratic side and has some hilarious approval / disapproval number. Disgraced Governor Andrew Cuomo has a higher approval rating than groundhog killing NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio….

New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams announced on Tuesday he is running for governor, joining a Democratic primary that already includes Gov. Kathy Hochul, who replaced Andrew Cuomo following his resignation this summer, and New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Williams, who was re-elected to his current post two weeks ago with more than two-thirds of the vote and previously served on the city council, is a progressive favorite from Brooklyn. In 2018, he was defeated by Hochul in the Democratic primary for lieutenant governor in a surprisingly close race….

NY Gov Holchul is way ahead of the field in polling a year out from Election Day……
Incumbent Gov. Kathy Hochul holds a commanding lead in the Democratic primary for governor — with more than double the support of her nearest rival, state Attorney Letitia James, a new survey obtained by The Post reveals.
Hochul leads James 40 percent to 17 percent among primary voters, with 7 percent of Democrats supporting the potential bid of Mayor Bill de Blasio or Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, who is a candidate.
About 30 percent of Democrats are undecided…

In a hypothetical head-to-head matchup, Hochul leads James with 44 percent support to 26 percent, the poll by In the Field Global found.
The poll did not include Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-Nassau/Queens), who is expected to announce Monday whether he will jump into the race.
James picks up more of de Blasio and Williams’ supporters than Hochul if they’re not in the primary….
