Paxton has STRONGLY backed Trump’s alternate reality and he ain’t a Bush…
George P. Bush — grandson and nephew of two former presidents, and the last remaining member of the political dynasty in public office — made the trek to Florida to ask for Trump’s endorsement for attorney general a couple of weeks ago, tweeting that he appreciated Trump’s “friendship & kind words as we work together to Keep America Great.”
But Trump’s antipathy for three generations of Bushes surfaced once again on Monday night, as he chose to endorse Paxton in what’s sure to be a competitive, brutal election between Bush and the scandal-ridden incumbent.
“Attorney General Ken Paxton has been bravely on the front line in the fight for Texas, and America, against the vicious and very dangerous Radical Left Democrats, and the foolish and unsuspecting RINOs that are destroying our Country,” Trump said in a statement, using the acronym for Republicans in Name Only. “Ken is strong on Crime, Border Security, the Second Amendment, Election Integrity and, above all, our Constitution. He loves our Military and our Vets. It is going to take a PATRIOT like Ken Paxton to advance America First policies in order to Make America Great Again.”
The Bush family, including former Presidents George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush and former first lady Barbara Bush, had criticized Trump, who has attacked the family on multiple occasions.
“We need another Bush in office about as much as we need Obama to have a 3rd term,” Trump wrote on Twitter in 2013. “No more Bushes!”
Trump also bashed Jeb Bush, George P. Bush’s father, in the 2016 presidential primaries. But that didn’t stop George P. Bush from endorsing Trump in his bid for reelection last year….

The Bushes are becoming like the Kennedys in the Democratic Party.
They will win an election here and there ala the Kennedys, but their day as major factors in the party on a national level is over,

GPB betrayed his family to endorse Trump. If he now loses, he gets what he deserves.

I do not believe his family will treat him poorly.
I don’t know about treating him “poorly” but I doubt that he will be a favorite at family gatherings.
The Bushes don’t strike me as fans of the type of pandering he engaged in.
There is a third Republican candidate in the Texas AG primary in Eva Guzman, a former State Supreme Court Justice. She has not taken any steps to publicly appeal to Trump or seek his support.
George P. Bush is widely expected to finish third in the primary.
I expect Paxton to win.
